Merry Christmas 🎄😺 to all my wonderful clients both past and present!

Thank you for all of your support over this last year, you have been amazing! ❤️

I am now having some time off with my family and will be back serving your kitties from January 6th so please bare with me if you message between now and then, as I may be a little slower to reply. Here's to 2026 🥂 and lots more beautiful cats.

Beautiful, majestic Axel, the 5 and a half month old maine c**n had a wet groom with me today because he was a bit stinky 🙀
He had his claws clipped, 2 shampoos to try to make him smell like roses, a full dry and groom and a sanitary trim - though this was his least favourite part and he wriggled and wriggled.

Sometimes I’d love to be able to talk to cats and tell them that it’s for their own good, to help them, but unfortunately I’m not sure humans have mastered that super power yet!

Gorgeous 2 yr old Aktui had his bi-annual bath with me the other day. Whilst he was distracted with me, his mam put the Christmas decs up so that he couldn't destroy them 😂.

Aktui is the sweetest, most loving and playful boy I've ever met. He loves jumping in the bath so having a bath is easy with him.

He had a full wet groom followed by a sanitary trim, claw clip and eye and ear clean.

He's all Christmas ready.

Look at this sweet girl. Can you believe nobody wanted her and she was the last one to go! 😔

This beautiful 😻 girl, Yennefer, had her first groom with me yesterday. She is the most wriggly cat I think I have ever worked with. She literally did not sit still which made clipping mats from her arm pits difficult so her mum tried to distract her with treats.

We got there in the end and she had a full groom and a sanitary trim as well.

9 year old rescue Pixie had a groom with me yesterday.

She was super matted and pelted all over so a lion cut was the only option with a claw clip first.

Pixie is a very nervous girl. She started off okay even licking herself trying to help me, which shows it must have been itchy underneath the matting.

As many cats don't like, Pixie was not a fan of anywhere underneath on her chest, tummy and rear end being touched either, so these areas were not the neatest and she had a go at swiping me a couple of times.

At least now she is mat free and can feel comfortable again.

I do not do lion cuts lightly, they are not a fashion statement to me and are reserved for the most matted of cats with preventative grooms going forward being the next steps.

🥰 I've had a lovely first few days back at work with the majority of my regulars. 🥰

First, Harry the Persian had a matted back to get sorted out and he didn't half tell me he was not happy with it. 😸

Then Sookie had her regular 8 weekly claw clip. Sookie lost her sister recently to blood poisoning through a wound. There was nothing they could do. 😿 But, Sookie seems to have come out of her shell a bit more since. 👍

After that, Darius had his first wet bath. Darius has always struggled with his bladder and is incontinent and I usually get peed on, (no exceptions this time either), but he had a bout of a bad stomach the other week which meant his rear end needed some serious attention. 🙊

Freya as you can see was her usual self, thoroughly pleased to see me - not 😹 and her new brother Blu had his first groom, a super softy 🥰.

To finish off the week, April had her regular 8 weekly groom and her sister Violet had her regular claw clip, she was furious this time so the cone of shame had to be used I'm afraid. 🙈

All in all a lovely first few days back to it. 👍

Right peeps, these are the last groom updates for a couple of weeks as I am having a small operation tomorrow so will be off all work following for a couple of weeks after!

Aslan, the 11 month old maine c**n had his 2nd groom with me this morning. He is such a fluff ball and his coat gets easily matted.

Aslan is new to the grooming process so it takes him a little while to chill out. The lick e lix did not work this week - he was on to us, but thankfully the silvervine was a nice distraction instead 😆.

I clipped some mats out from his groin and trousers, gave him a good sanitary trim and a thorough de-shed all over his coat. Aslan also had a claw clip and an eye and ear clean. His paws are hauuugggee - he's gonna be a big boy once he's fully grown I think!

Billy (ginger short haired) had his usual 6 weekly claw clip today also, as well as Dobbie and Max and Samson and Ziggy. No photos of these 3 though.

I got to meet sweet, gentle, playful Ophelia, the 2 and half year old Siberian yesterday for a groom.

Ophelia had been to the vets to have some matting removed so her mum and dad wanted her tidying up.

She was very inquisitive and came over to sniff all of my equipment, so I knew this was a good start. Then she absolutely loved the silvervine stick and started rolling around on my table straight away, I didn't even have to pick her up, I just gently got to work.

Ophelia had a few smaller mats removed, her coat had a good de-shed, she had a tummy trim, a claw clip and a sanitary trim as these are the places that were starting to mat up. She was absolutely not a fan of the sanitary trim but tell me a cat that is. The treats helped a lot for this part.

Afterwards, she spent some time on the windowsill looking outside before enjoying some catnip to finish the morning off.

Ophelia's cat parents will be booking her back in, in 3 months time to keep on top of her gorgeous coat and prevent as much matting as is possible.

Lyra and Aerith had their first grooms with me today.

The girls are 6 month old sister Ragc**ns and have just been spayed a few weeks ago.

Lyra was really nosey and friendly and came over sniffing at all of my equipment so she went first. She was super relaxed, sniffed everything on my table, had some treats, played a little whilst I gave her her first ever groom.

Her sister Aerith, took a little more persuading but I managed to get her out of her shell too. Both girls did very well for their first groom and enjoyed some playing time with some silvervine sticks afterwards.

Look at this boys gorgeous markings! 🥰

This is Bobby the tabby British Short haired. Bobby is 11 years old and is a big lad, super affectionate and totally chilled.

Bobby is at an age where he is struggling to groom himself so his mum called me in to help. He was starting to look a little bit like a hedgehog.

Now he looks smooth and silky soft again with a gorgeous coat.
