While you’re out enjoying the winter wonderland, here are some Tips for Keeping Dogs Safe in the Snow:
🐾 Keep Them Warm: Short-haired or small dogs may need a coat to stay cosy.
🐾 Check Their Paws: Snow and ice can irritate their pads—wipe them down after walks.
🐾 Watch for Salt: Road salt can harm paws and is toxic if ingested. Use pet-safe paw balm or rinse paws after walks.
🐾 Limit Exposure: Don’t let them stay out too long, especially in freezing temps.
🐾 Stay Hydrated: Snow isn’t a substitute for fresh water—make sure they have plenty to drink.
