🌿 Pathways Update at Lyme and Wood Country Park! πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ

We're excited to share the progress of our latest project: creating pathways through the grassland areas at Lyme and Wood Country Park. These paths not only enhance accessibility but also protect our natural habitats.

These pathways are designed with conservation in mind, ensuring minimal disruption to the park's ecosystem while allowing visitors to explore and enjoy our beautiful surroundings.

Thank you to everyone involved in making this project possible!

🌿 Exciting Update from Lyme and Wood Country Park! 🌱

We are thrilled to share the transformation of our polytunnel, built by The Friends of Lyme and Wood Country Park. This incredible structure serves as a vital hub for growing plants for our park and community.

🌍 Used for educational purposes and conservation efforts, the polytunnel is more than just a greenhouseβ€”it's a cornerstone of our commitment to sustainability and learning.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this project. Together, we are cultivating a greener future for our beloved park and beyond.

Please Share to Protect Our Local Wildlife 🦒🌳

A few months ago, local volunteers found baby swans entangled in fishing wire in Newton-Le-Willows. This heart-wrenching discovery highlights the ongoing danger that litter poses to UK wildlife.

Despite our best efforts to keep the area clean, we continue to find fishing wire and other litter around the ponds in Lyme and Wood Country Park. These items can cause serious harm to our precious wildlife. The fishing wire, in particular, is very hard to see and can easily go unnoticed until it's too late.

We need your help to keep our park safe for all its inhabitants. Please pick up after yourself and keep an eye out for litter during your walks. Every small action makes a big difference!

Let's work together to protect our beautiful wildlife and keep our park clean. If you spot any litter, please dispose of it properly or report it to the Friends of Group.
Thank you for your support! πŸ’š

🐾 Meet Buddy, a chocolate Labrador who holds a special place in our hearts! 🌟

We are happy to announce that Buddy will soon be offering walks for the humans of the park! He would love to show you the local wildlife with brief stops at his favourite spots to sniff. Like the page for updates on Buddy's upcoming nature walks!

Buddy has been one of our longest-serving volunteers, dedicating an impressive 11 years to helping out in our park. Whether he's bringing smiles to our faces during clean-up days, overseeing the other dogs volunteering, or simply enjoying the great outdoors, Buddy's enthusiasm and loyalty is truly remarkable.

If you have any photos of your furry friends enjoying the park, we'd love to see them! Post them in the comments below. πŸΆπŸ’š
