1st December and that winter chill has truly hit the air 🥶

While I’m here, could I ask anyone who cannot make their appointment to please make us aware, we’ve had a lot of no shows the last couple weeks which is a big hit, especially this time of year! If you don’t know when your appointment is just message me and I’ll check. Unfortunately the Christmas cancellation list is as long as my arm so at this stage if you no show it’s highly unlikely to get another appt before Christmas and will have to wait until January.

It’s been busy busy as usual for us since coming back from our wedding and honeymoon!
Thank you to all of you who keep us on our toes and come to your regular appointments. It means so much to have so many loyal regulars who are just the best bunch! The humans are okay too 😜

It’s coming into our busiest season of the year so preparing ourselves for the storm ahead!

Maisie all chuffed after her de-shed, bath and blowdry! All brachy breeds (frenchies/pugs etc) also get a free nose balm with every groom.
Still some spaces available for short hair de-shed grooms in November 😊

🙏🏻🙏🏻 THIS IS WHY WE NEED YOU 🙏🏻🙏🏻

To say we have been hit up the face with so many sick, unwell dogs is an understatement. I’m saying this, but it shouldn’t be a surprise as this is what we are here to do, but our vets bills are killing us 😢

4 weeks ago we paid £7000 off our bill leaving it at £2000 (plus over £2000 at 2 other vets up the country) but after a generous donation of £1500 (which we will update everyone on later) our bill still sits close to £6000 and that was on Monday before 3 spay/neuters and a dental. We are sinking and it’s far from ideal 😶

This man is called Neil, he came to us as a welfare case with severe medical issues. After 2 weeks of heavy medication this week he was ready for surgery. On both eyes he had entropion surgery, Cherry eye surgery and got neutered (still needs his nostrils widened) and his medical costs since arriving have mounted to over £2800

This is just one dog…..but one dog who really needs us and I’m sure you can see from the picture below how much happier and more comfortable he is now that he can see without pain 🥰

This is what it’s all about folks so we are asking for your help 🙏🏻

One of our wee dogs is very ill and is being referred to have life saving surgery in Earlswood so we need to get on top on this to continue helping who needs us so if you can help please click any of our links below ⬇️

Small dogs can have a really tough time of it. Because they are small they are not always respected and listened to as much as larger breeds. Is it then any wonder that they become scared and vocal about their fear and wish to be left alone?

I will not be filling the entire diary for the year. It’s way too hard to manage my own personal life.
So to keep on top of this;
ALL APPOINTMENTS MADE WILL REQUIRE £10 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT PER DOG! Maximum of 2 future appts can be booked. 2 appts = £20 deposit.
Deposits can be paid through PayPal or I will send a link to my SumUp card machine, or cash.
Deposit will be taken off price of groom at the appointment.
Appointments will not be confirmed until deposit has been paid.

Please note that there will be a small price increase in the New Year. I still have to figure out numbers to know exactly by how much, but please take this into consideration.

I’ll get back to all messages asap, I have a few things to do today but everyone will get a response by tomorrow at the latest 😊

We are completely fully booked until 31st October! 🥴
I’ve squeezed in and fit as many as we possibly can between now and then, I’m working on days I’m supposed to be off but we are really at capacity now 😱

Only a handful of appts left on the 1st, 4th, 5th and 7th. And that’s it! I’ve already over booked myself for Christmas so this is really all that’s left 😅

It’s holiday season!!!
A lot of people are putting their pets with home boarders & pet sitters so I just want to put a few things across to bear in mind.
Once you’ve selected somewhere for your pet to stay there should usually be a ‘meet & greet’
1) Ask to see documentation like Insurance, Risk Assessments & 1st Aid Cert.
2) Fill out a registration form & go through the T&Cs. Make sure you’re putting a reliable emergency contact down on the form!
3) Make sure they are aware of who your vet is & know how to get there.
4) Make sure your pets microchip has up to date details on it & that they have an ID tag on their collar. If you know you’ll be away from your phone, get an ID tag made with your emergency contacts number on it.
5) Remember that there are no regulations for home boarders so find out what experience they have with pets & what their routine is. Will your pet be left for long periods of time? Have they safe locations to walk your pet? How many live in the house? How many pets do they take at a time?
6) Do they have an emergency procedure for if your pet goes missing? Do they know who to phone & how to search? Will they try to cover it up??
7) Leave a detailed list with your pet if you want to! Put your daily routine down on paper so your pet sitter knows that Little Percy has to have a snacky snack before bedtime (he really does 🙄) But be honest about any ‘quirks’ your pet may have! Your pet sitter will appreciate that!
8 ) Expect regular updates through the time your away. You’re paying for peace of mind too.
9) Ask your vet/groomer/dog walker/day care for recommendations rather than going on FB reviews.
We do network & we know who’s experienced.
10) Go with your gut feeling. If you’re not sure then keep looking for someone else.

There wasn’t many appointments available as we are getting married and away on honeymoon September going into October, so appointments for the rest of the year are actually very limited! 🙈

Wee Rosco, absolutely bonkers fox terrier pup 😂 I tried to get pics but as you can see he just doesn’t stop 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

I took this from a breed group recently (I’m sure I’ll get banned now!) but it made me feel very sad.

Matting can have a hugely profound affect on dogs and having it removed really can give them a new lease of life.

Matting can severely affect your dogs movement, pulling on their skin at their every move. It can even prevent blood circulating to the skin and your dogs can feel very funny once it’s been removed which can cause them to act either with joy at being free or it can cause them to become withdrawn and even agitated whilst they adjust to the new feeling.

Can you imagine living a life confined to a straight jacket of your own hair? It must be horrendous.

Please keep your dogs brushed and regularly groomed. They do so much for us, it’s only fair that we look after them ❤️

Hi everyone! Just another post with my next available dates. It’s crazy how far in advance we’re booking up, I’m so glad most of you have pre booked your next lot of appointments because the diary is really running out of space! 🤯

Also just want to make those of you who don’t know aware, myself and david are getting married and going on honeymoon in September (🤩) so we have extremely limited appointments that month, maybe only 2 or 3 left available.
