I am a dog trainer and owner. I grew up with dogs and 13 years ago became a dog owner of my own. I have had Border Collies Labradors, and now have a house of Golden Retrievers. I started a popular local Golden Retriever FB Group, Golden Retrievers of Northern Ireland, which has led me down this path of becoming a trainer. We have helped rehome Goldens as well as help train the dogs and educate the owners using positive reinforcement. I have undertaken the OCN level 3 Principles of Canine Behaviour, OCN level 1 Practical Dog Handling, currently studying canine nutrition as well as keeping up to date with modern practises. I believe learning for both human and dog is a lifelong project. I have myself been at the other end of the leash with my own dogs and recently completed KC Bronze, Silver and Gold Good Citizens with my pup Daisy. Training should be fun and bonding not a chore. Learning through starting well, playing games, having fun while shaping your dogs behaviour.
