Seymour was always so happy and full of mischief, and a pleasure to see each week❤️ he was a friend to all (even though he preferred the humans)...and loved nothing more than killing a squeaky toy 😂

Mixed emotions today as I finish up for a rest before baby Green arrives 👶💙🥹

Christmas Treats:
No doubt you will all be thinking of getting your dachshund some special Christmas treats and there are lots to chose from.
Please be aware, however, of the dangers of Rawhide chews!!!!
They really are extremely dangerous for our dogs, but they sadly keep finding their way into the shops due to demand!!
They are so harmful having been processed with irritating chemicals which can cause vomiting
The bits that break off from chewing are potential choking hazards.
Being difficult to digest they can sit in your dachshunds stomach for months and can cause serious blockage issues and digestive problems, especially if smaller pieces clump together. If surgery is required it can result in a £2-3,000 bill!!!
We all like to treat our special dachshunds and quite rightly too 💙 Check any purchases carefully and please try to avoid Rawhide😞
If you have any wonderful suggestions of what special treats are out there that are safe please feel free to offer your ideas or even your recipes should you make your own😃😃

May be nothing but just to make dog walkers aware, a passer-by has reported seeing blue grain-like material in area around dog play area

This is currently being investigated and will update further when we know more

‼️ ROAD CLOSURE ‼️

NIE have closed the Belfast Road for 5 weeks from today 😩😩😩

Alternative routes if coming from Ards:

- head up to the Kempstones roundabout, onto the carriageway towards Dundonald, then onto Milecross Road or continue further up to the other end of Belfast Road (going past Cats Protection League/Old Mill)

- Crawfordsburn Road, then left onto Anderson's Hill, then left onto Ballybarnes Road which will bring you out just before the Karcher shop on Belfast Road.
