Due to the increase in severely matted dogs, I have decided I am not grooming them anymore. Its so emotionally draining on me and physically sore for the dog. If you can't put in the work at home, I'm not putting in the work in the salon. I'm only accepting dogs on regular schedules eg 8 weeks for styled cockapoos, 12 weeks for Collies etc etc

Trixies ready for her full groom next week! The thrashing she does here used to be constant. I mean, she didn't stop for a second, so you can imagine how dangerous it is to have sharp object near those wee eyeballs. But here we are a few weeks later, she's improved massively and we're ready for a groom next week, even though it will probably be garbage, at least it will be done. She has a great shape to her face though, so even if her body is garbage, at least her face will be cute!
Final reveal of Trixie's hard work will be Friday next week!

This might not look like much, but I am SO proud of Lola for how far she came in one grooming session. When she was first on the table, I couldn't touch her face, chest or legs and you can see how buzzing I am at the end when she let me shave under her chin! She just about let me work with her legs without too much fuss. To achieve this, we had to take loads of breaks, she had her sister there for moral support, I lowered the table pretty low as being up high seemed to scare her and she had alot of treats. She had a donut bed to rest in and also a licky mat during her breaks, since licking is soothing for dogs. This time was about getting her comfortable. Next time is about further desensitisation and the time after that, I'll work on getting her neat. Well done Lola! And shout out to Tashy for her support and being so well behaved.
Also maybe next time, I'll play something abit more relaxing than Scooter 😅
