Good morning everyone. Here is our latest update on Chance. Hard to believe this is the same wee dog who came to us a short few weeks ago.
She is finally being the puppy she is and enjoying life as every dog should. It is with thanks to Dr Kirsty and all the team who brought her back from the brink, and to everyone out there who cared enough for her to allow this to happen. Thank you all who donated to Chances recovery or simply expressed their concern for her wellbeing, it worked, and we got her back.
An update on our wee star Chance. Firstly thank you to everyone who has donated to Chances treatment or sent her healing thoughts. A huge thankyou to our vet team, who has cared for her for the past 2 weeks. It looks like Chance is turning a corner now and becoming the pup she was meant to be. She had the fighting spirit needed to survive the neglect she suffered all her short life.

Hi all, here is the latest update on Chance. She is starting to respond to treatment and the care she is getting at our vets. She is enjoying taking her medication hidden in lovely fresh chicken, which I'm fairly sure she has never tasted before.
We are thankful that she is taking solid food now, so the feeding tube is not required. We will bring you another update towards the weekend, but we are grateful for the care she is getting and all the messages of hope and love received.

Our phone line is still down even after two weeks, and we can only apologise to anyone who has been trying to make contact. We are assured it will be active on Wed for anyone looking to get in touch.

Chance came to the shelter last night, having been left in to be put to sleep
The vet contacted Lost Paws NI - Lost and Found Pets for help, and they responded by bringing her to the BARN without question.
So let me tell you a bit about Chance. She is SEVEN months old, a baby, and is covered in mange. Her wee body is dehydrated and she is a very sick girl. We took her to our own vet at Rathgael vets this morning where Dr Kirsty and the team began her assessment. Conclusion is Chance is extremely ill and will require a lot of veterinary attention for the next few weeks to hopefully allow her to recover.
We will give her every 'Chance' she needs to make a full recovery and find her a warm, loving home which she hasn't known at all in her short life.
We are asking if our followers and supporters can donate whatever possible to help us give Chance that opportunity to get well and find her home.
Donations can be made directly to our vets using their website or via the rescue PayPal, stating 'Chance' and checking family and friends.
Never have we seen a pup in such a terrible or neglected state come into our rescue, and we will do everything possible to give her a new life. Chance is in the care of the vet team, and we will have a better idea by Monday how she is responding to treatment, of course we will keep you up to date on how she is responding.
