I’m seriously not sure how much longer I’ll be in business. , and are making my life a misery.

Royal Mail are losing and severely delaying tracked AND special
Delivery guaranteed by 1pm deliveries. DHL couldn’t organise a p**s up in a brewery and because of all this, I decided to go back to APC.

The first invoice is wrong on 2 levels and I’m at the end of my tether.

The only thing I can do is use FedEx 1-3 day and or overnight, they are the only ones who have been reliable! You watch me jinx that as well now.

Buster the Springer Spaniel X was surrendered to the Pound yesterday, and he doesn't understand what has happened....

He has not moved from this spot since he went into his kennel, and he is too terrified to eat, take a treat, or even sit on the blanket we gave him 🥺🥺🥺

Buster will need someone who is experienced with traumatised dogs to help him learn to trust again.

We know that rescue groups across the country are under enormous pressure, but we would gladly welcome offers from any who might have space for this chap ###.

March 2020 - Leap of Faith

When the world ground to a halt for many people and life as we knew it in March 2020, being the owner of boarding kennels too, I had to close them. I made the decision before the official lockdown to cancel all bookings. I was already working full-time at Meg Heath Dog Leads, so this allowed me time to focus on that business. I already had several other websites and e-commerce projects so I was able to look at everything with a clear head.

Little Beetles is still going strong. LBUK is an online pet store for off the shelf items all held in stock here and able to be despatched quickly. You can find this store at www.littlebeetles.co.uk

Latest Project

My latest website is www.megk9.uk, it is a store that sells all the components for making dog leads and collars. It was a no-brainer to set this up as the only work required was the website, as of July, this is still in development (live but not finished).

Plans for 2020

The kennels are still closed despite others opening. I still think the risks are very real albeit reduced; bringing dogs into my kennels at the moment is still considered a risk and not one I am prepared to make. We will assess the risks month by month and an announcement will be made as and when we are going to open with plenty of notice for people to book.

Meg Heath Kennels website has been updated but intentionally left in limbo regarding some changes I want to make regarding vaccinations, prices, opening times etc.

2021

In 2021 I celebrate 15 years in e-commerce making dog leads and collars. I hope to do something special and you will be the first to know.

... to my Dog Lead customers who helped spike sales in April 2020, with this quarter being unprecedented in terms of sales. No month is the same at the moment as the world changes going from one extreme to the other - from most people being at home to July where many are returning to work, this has had obvious effects on everyone's businesses.

So, thank you for being part of and witnessing my leap of faith where now I rely on one stream of income only - not something I am used to.
