Morning folks our road from junction up to WaggTail turning are icy from yesterdays thaw and refreeze. Would would advise only 4wheel drives attempt the road until the gritters have been which is normally about midday.

Christmas Shout Out

Not doggy related but you’ll have seen his benches and tables in our enclosures!
Barry has been busy making one off pieces of furniture. He specialises with some beautiful Elm wood slabs and spalted wood. If you’re interested in a one of a kind coffee table etc please get in touch with him and see what he has or can create!!!

💦 Our water and hoses aren’t working at the moment we are trying to have a look into it and see what the issue is but please bring along water for the time being to your session.

💩 Please try and keep an eye on where your dog is squatting and retrace their steps to find the poo, bag it and bin it.
*We have a lot of young pups and dogs that are inquisitive and will eat the poo left behind and I’m sure you know how difficult it can be to get your dog away from something they really want!
I understand the dogs are running all over the place, as they should and the reduced light doesn’t help but please give it a check over and if you spot one help us out with the short days and pick it up and pop in bin much appreciated.

Our Christmas shoutouts

We are Inverness Dog Daycare (previously called Playful Paws), the only licensed commercial dog daycare in Inverness, under new ownership since 1st October 2024. We provide a safe, secure and fun environment for your dogs to play with their friends, chill out and have nap time whenever they want. We are experienced dog handlers and have a qualified dog trainer working in daycare full time. Daycare is open 7:30am to 6pm to cover most peoples working days, £25 for a full day or £18 half day of up to 5 hours. We run puppy socialisation and enrichment classes with a new block starting in January and also looking to start playdates in the new year. The daycare property is available for hire for your own dog party, training classes and other events. Get in touch if you'd like more details on any of the above.

Just a reminder folks, please make sure you park in the correct car parking area for your enclosure. Each area has their own car park.
Please also make sure all gates are closed over and car parks and enclosures are secure before letting the dogs out of the car!

Snowy roads

GRITTER & PLOUGH just passed. KESSOCK UNDERPASS cleared.

Morning folks, please take care today on roads. The road from Kessock up is very slippery and still not gritted, especially at the underpass.
We are clearing and gritting our road but as always we advise only attempting to drive if your car is suitable with 4wheel drive etc.

We will keep updating our road conditions.

Winter updates

💡 We have lights on in the dark mornings and nights now. Macs meadow has the best coverage of lighting and Betsy’s is partially lit due to the low points so we still recommend torches for any dark areas. Tanya’s Trail car park is lit up but the main enclosure is not so you will need a good torch for here. Lights come on at 7am and off at 8am and 6.30pm until 9.30pm.
If you arrive and the lights aren’t on please contact us and we can come check.

💨 Wintery weather is now looming and so comes the wind and stormy weather. Please make sure you fully close the gates with the pin slid all the way through and the plate behind it falls over. If not the wind can shake the pin out and cause the gate to swing and even flip off the hang points.

🚛 The Christmas tree transport has started for our neighbours so please be aware the road will be busier with HGV Lorry’s. Please ensure you give way to them as much as possible with the single track roads.

🎉 We have added a few new features in the enclosures. We’ve added a sandpit in Tanya’s Trail and dug out another wet area in the top corner to help the dogs get muddy!!!!
Macs Meadow we have added a trunk walk over feature and plan to add to this but as always send us pictures and feedback on how the doogos find the park and features.

Snow has melted off the roads well this morning so all should be good for getting to the park. There’s still snow in the enclosures which is wet, slushy and slippery on slopes so please take care and wear good grip, waterproof shoes. Remember theres our grit boxes at each of our bridges so please use if needed and make sure the lid is back on securely. Let the snow day commence and bring forth the photos and videos of snow dogs 🐶 This is Maisey coming to work with us this morning, not sure if she knew finding a broken toy was helpful but hey, work hard, play hard!
