‼️How do you recognise your dog isn't happy?!‼️
We were minding our own business doing a little puppy training yesterday when a friendly but out of control Teenage Retriever came out of nowhere off his leash butting in!!
Clearly, spacious awareness wasn't his strong point 🫣🥴
Watch the small pup's body language....
A great way to bring awareness if some of the things to look out for and teaching children what to look out for.. some of the body languages that indicate that your dog isn't happy, uncomfortable or agitated in somemof the situations.
Understanding these signs will help ensure you TAKE ACTION and avoid dogs getting into fights or even bitting.
Timing is important..
❌Closed or Tight mouth
❌Whites of eyes
❌Stiff state
❌Closed tight mouth
❌Lip licking
❌Ears back
❌Turning away
If your dog is showing any or a combination of these signs then stop and remove them from the situation immediately!
These are the warning signs ⚠️ so observe, listen and take action. Keep calm at all times!

Human and Dog Reactive Maltese... Work in progress 💪
#bdogcoach #dogtraining #dogbehavior #maltese
Patsy, a Maltese dog use to be extremely reactive with people and other dogs..
This is our 3rd session now where we are increasing the level of difficulty.
The last time we went in a cafe and now we managed to go into a Park and even off lead at the end 😱👌
The most challenging thing about it was giving the owner confidence to let go 😁😅
I have great expectations ♥️

Gimme... gimme...😂 Dog Heaven!!
This is 'Cheddar' and 'Gabby'. Both have different owners but have things in common.
✅They are both rescue dogs. One with a fear of dogs and the other a fear of humans.
✅No historical information on neither of the dogs.
Here is a brief snippet video of them both... Cheddar, the Lab was quite Happy walking around people after spending 1/2 hrs doing some counter conditioning work and making some adjustments with the owner.
Gabby, on the other hand was used to breed puppies and as soon as this didn't work, she was rehomed.. clearly a lot of psychological issues but has only been with the new owner 7 weeks and doing amazing.
The root cause of her fear of dogs are unknown but after seeing this video footage, and spending time in this first session, she was finally able to relax with Gasper who was so patient with her.
A little patience and simply incorporating the right treatment helps to get the results you need!
There is ALWAYS HOPE! Even with rescue dogs or old dogs...

A little breezy on the coast today but didn't stop Oslo wanting to fetch ball 🏀🏀🫣🙄😅
Meet Reggie, a new 11 week old Golden retriever who has just started our one to one puppy program.
Reggie lives with his owners and another grown up dog.
This is our first session, assessing the dog, it's temperament, checking for any obvious behavioural issues (this is important at this stage so we can correct any issues at such early stage) and discussing priorities where support is most needed.
In Reggie's case we started straight away on the following topics:
✅Being able to leave him in the house by himself
✅Lead walking and basic obedience
✅Stay command
The benefits of 1:1 is to ensure puppies and owners get the best start in life.
Dedicated and bespoke sessions to meet the needa of the dog and the owner (meeting the objectives set out)
This doesn't exclude the news for the dog to be socialised but 1:1s in comparison to group puppy classes give you that extra bit if attention and alusually a quicker turnaround in the pup's learning.
Check out this gorgeous boy and what he has achieved in the first session... Clever lad 💙

This Seth, a very nervous 1.5 year old Whippet and Reactive with other dogs.
First session but she did AMAZING, Thanks to her owner who did really well in implementing some of the tips I gave her and practice during our session.
Seth accidentally came in contact with another dog in a Park and hitting her at her rear end, she has since developed a high level of alert and anxiety around other dogs, which manifests itself in a continuous bark, tail in and generally speaking not enjoying her walk.
Today I used my 7 year old cocker spaniel to help her overcome her anxiety.
There were many barks to start with but after only 20 mins she was wanting to play with him and even allowed him in her home.
Great success story after one session..
.I have faith she will do well and has a happy future ahead in her walks ♥️👌

Have you ever heard a dog snore like this?! 🤣🤣
Louis I love you to bits but you'll never sleep in my room!!
This is Louis (Silver Lab)... My Yoga teacher's LabBear 💙 I look after from time to time with my grumpy Oslo (working Cocker Spaniel).
It is not the best buddy scenario but they are getting on much better now and love a bit of ball chasing and rumbles 😊
It shows you with a bit of counterconditioning behavioural work, things can work out and live in harmony.
Even my dog needs help as he is getting older and grumpy!! 😂
Sorry.... Before you ask, I don't deal with grumpy humans!! 🤪
What do you do when you go out for a couple of drinks and you have six eyes on you!! 🤣
