Dear XLVets Farm Follower,
We are writing to inform you that unfortunately, as a result of a cyber attack, the following two XLVets Facebook accounts, XLVets Equine and FarmSkills, have been compromised and these pages are now under the control of an unknown third party.
For clarity, this issue does not impact the XLVets Farm page.
The privacy and security of anyone connecting with the XLVets community are of the utmost importance to us. We want to provide you with guidance on the appropriate course of action to mitigate any potential risks.
Here are the steps we recommend you take:
Immediately Unfollow: We strongly advise you to unfollow our compromised pages XLVets Equine and FarmSkills as soon as possible and to inform any friends who are following the pages to do the same.
Maintain Awareness of Phishing Attempts: In situations like these, it's common for cybercriminals to attempt to deceive users through phishing emails, messages, or fake websites. Stay vigilant and avoid clicking on suspicious links or providing personal information to unknown sources. XLVets will never contact you via Facebook and ask you to log in to any external websites or submit any personal information or contact details.
We deeply regret any inconvenience caused by this incident and we are working diligently to resolve the situation and regain control of our Facebook accounts. We are sorry to report that Facebook is not currently being very helpful.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
With best wishes,
All at XLVets
