Everybody meet Ruby ❤️
Ruby loves tuna and going for long walks with her best pal Brandon. She’s a sassy little queen who rules the roost when she comes to stay. Ruby has stayed with us since she was a wee pup and slots right back in each time. She leaves tomorrow and we will very much miss her little ways. Till next time Rubes

On that note I would like everybody to meet Bilbo 🐾 Bilbo has just joined the Canny Little Paws family and will be getting the odd walk here and there whilst his humans have a few fun days out together.
Bilbo was a rescue and has been through some trauma in his life which has made him feel very vulnerable around humans when he first meets them. I have met with Bilbo and his human a few times recently, to help get him used to me and allow us more time to get to know one another before he meets me again on his own. So far so good and with the help of lots of yummy sausage treats I think Bilbo has worked out I’m not a threat and hopefully over time we will become the best of pals 🐾🫶

News just in! We have a new price list and additional services available.

Please note that my availability through the week is varied and I can be flexible. Currently Tuesday and Thursdays are fully booked. I am however opening up my diary on a Wednesday from June so do get in touch if that day could work for you.

Dog walks and sits are also available on a weekend.

Let's talk Cats!

Throughout my life I have owned and taken care of many cats. My first cat Trixy was a beautiful tortoiseshell cat and never left my side as a child, she slept on the end of my bed every night and walked me to the school bus every morning. I will always remember her.

More recently we had a rescue cat called Sega. He was born in a forest and was as wild as one too. Always getting himself into bother, getting stuck up trees and coming home with bashes and bruises. He loved cuddles more than anyone and we were obsessed with him. Unfortunately we lost Sega in a road accident and we were left utterly heartbroken. We will never forget him either.

Cats rule the majority of households and I love them for it. My Cat sitting terms and conditions are very similar to dog sitting in terms of cost/ procedures. Upon booking we will arrange a free meet and greet which will give us all the opportunity to get to know one another and talk through your cats needs and quirks. 😺

Hello! I would like to introduce myself. This is me. The face behind Canny Little Paws.

I am originally from North Yorkshire but I have lived here in the North East of England for nearly 17 years now, 3 years at the coast! In 2020 (in the midst of the pandemic) I gave birth to my baby girl and have been full time mum (and dog mum) ever since. This change brought with it new challenges for me and has led to the start up of Canny Little Paws. I have been around dogs all my life, from puppies to Podencos, and am one of those people who stops the car when they see a dog!

I am in the process of completing my certification and relevant training to enable me to be a supportive and positive influence on your furry friends, and I am excited for all the lovely walks and canny little paw pals I am going to make along the way.🐾

This is my dog Brandon. He is a Podenco canario and we rescued him from Lanzarote. We met him whilst visiting the dog shelter out there and decided to bring him home knowing absolutely nothing about him 🥴 it was a huge risk and we faced many challenges with one another. Brandon had a lot of ‘quirks’ and had clearly not lived a very nice life before he met us 😔 lots of years and lots of tears later he is absolutely living his best doggy life and we couldn’t be more proud of him.

Meeting Brandon and becoming his human is what has brought me to where I am today. I love working with dogs, I love meeting them and I love being around them.
