Pain is often associated with negative or unwanted behaviours in animals, however any behaviour changes need to be considered. A change to what be considered a positive behaviour could be a reaction to pain too. Your dog that stops jumping up at people suddenly, stops stealing food from high places , stops running off when he/she spots a squirrel on the horizon. Your horse who has always had a buck and squeal becomes less excited about life and less spicy, the mud monster that stops rolling on one or both sides, the field bully that suddenly seems to mellow.

Know what is normal for your animals and always mention changes at appointments- no observation is ever silly so please don’t shy away from mentioning anything however small

I’m done for 2024- however if any existing clients really need me I’m still about.

Finally remembering those animals that have passed away this year, they all take a tiny piece of my heart and I will be thinking of you this Christmas.

Supporting friends and clients on the run up to Christmas- today my wonderful friends at Bulb to bunch - now the flower growing season is over these amazing Christmas wreaths and table decorations are available- they really are stunning and look up the work shops too!

I got a five star review on Etsy today which got me thinking. Why don’t I leave more five star reviews? Or for that matter, likes and comments? It would take me no time at all, but makes all the difference to someone like me. With no review, they’re probably left worrying I didn’t like what I got, when they no doubt put their heart and soul into everything they send out. While a review, like or comment gives people a real boost personally, and, with all the social media algorithms helps to get a business better known. So that’s my resolution going forwards - a little early I know. And I’m going to start with the couriers who are frantically busy at the moment and do a fantastic job delivering to me, and delivering my wreaths nationwide with care.

This isn’t a chiro type post but might be of interest. Last weekend my 16.1 cob stood on the scales and weighed in at 680kg. I was pretty shocked - I guessed he was 600-620 ish as suspected he was more than a weight tape suggested but actually on the weight tape he was 100kg less at 580kg. 100kg is quite a lot . He isn’t skinny but neither is he fat and wobbly. It also made me question how good we are at guessing weights 🤔. So who wants to guess - How much does Barry weigh? As a size comparison Dill the dog is 38kg

Well today was different- full of gorgeous Fell ponies! - absolutely gorgeous rare breed and I treated 3 with 2 different owners back to back! I love the similarities and but all with different personalities 🥰

I do love GSD’s! Today was a routine treatment for the gorgeous older girl who always goes floppy and sleepy, and some handling practice for her quite large, quite bouncy and incredibly loving younger companion. Rumour has it he was a little sleepy after some massage and a few light adjustments 🥰
