Animal Magic Dog Club We are a community Dog Club based near Aylsham, Cromer and North Walsham, Norfolk. At our dog club w Club membership is only £7.00 per calendar year.

You are welcome to join our club whether you live locally or are on holiday (please visit our web site for holiday accommodation options). Please feel free to visit us and watch any classes (by appointment).

First notification! Limited availability…Bonnie is getting excited, a bit early, about her first Christmas! On December 6th we will hold a Christmas party and Christmas Dog Show at the Club and across the road at Bradfield Cricket Club. Bonnie invites all her doggy friends to join her. We recently did a single session with great clients who felt that their dog was developing one or two behavioural quirks that they were not happy with, around barking and sociability mostly. Today we received this:

"We both feel that we are speaking the same language now and understand him better and consequently Ted seems so much happier and relaxed. We both found it really motivating, interesting, very sensible and quite transformational!"

We felt that it was OK to blow our own trumpet... its not every day that we get such a terrific commendation.

Many of you will know that our wonderful Agility and kids trainer, Debbie, retired and has gone into a low key catering operation to keep her busy as she's now only a cricket club fundraiser, a charity fundraiser, a dog trainer and a girl guider 🤣 Last year Debbie dipped her professional cook's toe toe into home baked Christmas delights.... The cakes and pastries that I had were really delicious (including vegan). This year Debbie is already taking orders...... Took a huge hassle out of my Christmas....

SCENT WORK is back! (by request) Some years ago we started Scent Work and we admit we got it a bit wrong........ too serious.... (Did you really want your dog to work at an airport? 😁) Saturday 20th September we start our FUN 'Scent Work Beginners' at 1.00pm. No classes tomorrow (Weds 13th August) due to high temperatures..... This is in line with our policy on dog health and wellbeing, we don't operate above 24 degrees. A week will be added to the end of this training season, in compensation. See you next week, heatwaves permitting :).

SOCIAL EVENT - Afternoon Tea

As a club we are a wonderfully friendly and sociable bunch and we meet at the Club so many weeks of the year but the Club doesn’t do anything much that is sociable, outside of dogs. When our wonderful Bronwen Bell founded the Club there was always an element of charity and community in what we did and maybe we have let that slip a bit. And so:

On Thursday August 21st at 3.00pm we will host a Summer Afternoon Tea at 3.00pm in the Clubhouse of our good neighbours and friends... Bradfield Cricket Club. Included in the ticket will be be:

Summer Bradfield Tea
Finger sandwiches (served 4 different breads),
Mini sausage roll,
1 fruit/ and 1 plain scone served with jam and clotted cream,
Selection of 4 mini cakes
Pots of tea or coffee

Or

Savoury Bradfield Tea
4 finger sandwiches ( Served on 4 different breads)
2 mini sausage rolls / cheese and marmite swirl
1 cheese scone
1 stilton & walnut scone
Fruit cake served mild cheddar
Plus, cream free cakes
Pots of tea and coffee

All prepared by our professional Chef and Agility Trainer Debbie Wright.

There will also be a short talk entitled: "Dogs… How? Why?” How did modern breeds come about and why were they developed.

There will also be a chance to meet those mysterious people not in your class, you know….. the ones that you pass in the car park 😂

Any profit made will be rounded up by the Club and donated to a dog charity decided by attendees on the day.

Sorry but this is one event where furry friends will not be expected to attend.

The cost is: £20.00 per head and everyone is welcome; members, friends, family or someone you drag in off the street, The cricket Club is licensed so anyone wishing a bottle of Prosecco with their 'tea' would need to email separately for cost and we will provide, if agreed.

We only have limited places but we are looking for this to be a number of social and charitable events throughout the year so don’t despair if you miss out this time.
