As we come to the end of our training season bookings are going really well for January.

I know from talking to our trainers that some people are disappointed at missing out on a course that is fully booked and others are finding that the course that they want is on at an inconvenient time for them. In both cases please send an email and we will accumulate demand and see what we might be able to do to accommodate peoples wishes with additional sessions. Just let us know the course that you would like to do and your broadest availability and whilst we cannot promise, we can, at least, try for you. So far we are looking at a daytime Bronze and Silver Obedience.

Unbelievable as it sounds... our final season for 2024 is now fully underway and Beginners and Obedience courses starting 12th January are now available to book on the website. How time flies.... As ever, regular, follow on, courses will become available slightly later to be bookable from 16th November 2024.

ADULT DOG SOCIALISATION – This is for dogs over eight months with a view to building the confidence of nervous dogs and addressing lead reactivity. This is now available as a four week course available on Tuesday mornings and on Saturday midday.

Beaches and toxins. It came up at puppy class and as it is coming to storm season: Don’t allow your dog to scavenge washed up shellfish, as filter feeders they can collect toxins that can be poisonous or even fatal to your dog. Palm oil lumps, from tankers flushing their tanks, are edible and dangerous and they too can be highly toxic. These risks are small but real and you should just be aware as so many of us walk our fabulous Norfolk beaches with our best friends. Just a timely reminder. 👍🏻😀

I'm going to mention Christmas in August.... Our new training Season - Christmas Season 2024 (starting last week of October) is now available to book on the website. All foundation/beginners courses are now available, follow on courses, for our regulars, will be available in a couple of weeks. Welcome to you newbies and welcome back to the holidaymakers, child carers and grandparents absent in the summer (reluctantly, I know )😂

Our first ever Play Together session started this morning with three dogs, in our secure paddock, having the time of their lives bouncing around together and enjoying trainer supervised games.They will sleep for the rest of the day. It is a small start but we do hope to add more of these four week sessions as the seasons pass. Please drop us an email if you are interested.

Two hot days... the gardens need some rain.... :) .....Just a note on our policy on training in heat as we start to see a bit of summer, at last!!!

We do not train above 24 degrees centigrade.
We train in the Barn shade in strong, direct, sunlight wherever possible
You will be notified, by email on the day if your class is being postponed so please keep an eye on your inbox.
We will also post postponements on facebook.
Postponed classes will be added to the end of the season.
We make these decisions on the Met Office predictions for Bradfield and specifically for the timing of your class (not by the daily high), nearest hour. This is not the same as the BBC forecasting, for example.
Drinking water is always provided.
The wellbeing and safety of your dog remains your responsibility and you know your dog best. We respect decisions not to attend outside of these conditions but cannot compensate for them.
Please consider the use of cooling coats or old towels (to soak and use) for cooling your dog.

I hope this alleviates any concern and answers any questions that you may have had or that may occur. We lose very few days to temperatures in normal Summers but it does happen. Bill.

Play Together Sessions

The purpose of our play together sessions is to give your dog the opportunity to exercise and have fun in a trainer controlled environment and in the company of other dogs of a similar disposition, in a secure area at an economic price against other exercise facilities.

Recent scare stories in the news about dogs of lead have lead people to be very wary when meeting other dogs and some clients have even experienced hostility from other dog owners when their dogs are simply and calmly trying to greet each other.

If your dog is a balanced, well behaved, dog and you would like to give it the opportunity to play, safely and happily, with other similar dogs and like minded owners, in a controlled secure location, as an alternative to playing alone in an exercise paddock our Play Together Sessions might suit you. We have a pilot available to book, with only six places in total, at www.animal-magix.co.uk/book-a-course on Tuesday mornings and will add more sessions as demand dictates.
