I can't believe I have been running my grooming business for 9 years. I again want to take the opportunity to thank all my customers old and new for their continued support, it means the world, especially that so many have been with me since my first year and followed me on my travels to new premises. I am grateful to all my customers for their support and listening to my many memories of Barney and I love hearing your memories of him too 🐾

🐾✨Hand stripping✨🐾
I have heard a few times recently from customers and they have also commented that they have been told by groomers that this is cruel. I understand that you may think pulling the hair out will hurt the dog. However, if it is done properly it is the best thing for a wire haired dog as opposed to having them clipped, it removes dead hair and promotes new wire hair growth, when they are clipped the hair can change completely and become soft and fluffy because rather than removing the dead hairs they are being cut (and it needs to be done more often than hand stripping).
They might want to tell Pearl it's cruel, she came in for her first handstrip recently and didn't bat an eyelid 🤣

Yesterday I had to make the hardest decision ever, to say goodbye to my gorgeous angel 🐾
There is a paw print shaped hole in my heart. I couldn't have wished to love a better dog for over 12 and a half years and we will all miss him beyond measure and I know all my customers will too, as he was such a big part of the salon.

I can't believe I forgot yesterday that it was 8 years since I first opened in Bacton. I am now in my 3rd premises and it will definitely be the last, we love it here 💜

Today's the day!! It has been a lot of work and the new place is still not perfect but I am ready to groom 🎉
I look forward to welcoming all my lovely customers and their pooches to my new premises 🐾
