Look what I saw on my morning walk with my crew in Bacton Woods! So pretty, a Fritillary but which one, seem to be three. I think they are Silver Washed Fritillary ☺️

Got Mac a different new ball to keep him amused and busy. He is such a big, strong , fast and powerful dog when running after a Chuck It ball he often damages the skin on his feet. Being a LabXGreyhound he seems to have the thin skin of a Greyhound which tears easily and takes a good while to heal, hence looking for new ways to keep him happy and active yet safe ☺️

Thanks to a big old sea fret the temperature isn’t too bad for the moment and a nice cool breeze. Frankie, Ebony and Bodhi know how to pace themselves with plenty of drinks too but little Red has still got to learn a bit more about personal space☺️🐾🐾

Just a reminder to everyone who cares about the wildlife in their garden. PLEASE don’t ever give milk to hedgehogs you might come across, like a lot of dogs, they are lactose intolerant and there is a good chance your kindness will kill them. A shallow dish of water will be very welcome however.

I had a wonderful holiday on Davaar Island in the mouth of Campbeltown Loch on the Mull of Kintyre and would recommend it for anyone who likes peace and tranquility. The skies, sea and landscapes change their look constantly as the weather changes but whatever the weather it’s really beautiful. Loads of birds: gannets, seagulls, eider ducks, oyster catchers etc and we spotted seals but no sign of the otters or whales than come by. The island is cut off at high tide, great walk around it though at low tide to find the deep cave with the painting of the crucifixion of Jesus that a chap painted in the early 1900s. There are sheep, wild goats (we came across three with a little kid)) and Highland cattle (4 youngsters and 2 adults), the owners of the island are farmers on the mainland. We also walked up to the Trig point to get spectacular 360 degree views overlooking Arran, the loch and the island of Ailsa Craig. Another time we spent an afternoon exploring Saddell Bay where Paul McCartney filmed the video of him and Linda and the Campbeltown Pipe Band singing Mull of Kintyre. I made my friend watch the video on YouTube as we sat on the beach there🤣there is also a wonderful Anthony Gormley statue there on the rocks looking out to sea, he’s called Grip. So a magnificent holiday revisiting my childhood home where as a family we were posted as my Dad was in the RAF. My friend and I stayed in the Lighthouse Keepers Cottage (2 bedrooms) but there is the Lookout (1 bedroom) and the 2 wooden cabins that are ideal for singles or couples. All have stunning views and are on AirBnB☺️the caretakers Ned and Toni are just delightful and so helpful❤️you do have to park up and walk across the causeway at low tide but not when you arrive and leave with your shopping and luggage, then Ned drives you across. We flew up to Glasgow and stopped the first and last night in Inverary which is also very lovely.

Introducing Roni (short for Veronica☺️) my new little girl I’ve rehomed, through family friends. She is a BichonXLlhasa, 9 years old and is a perfect little treasure. Such a sweetheart and I am totally smitten with her. She has fitted in so well with Bella and Beau, not a single issue with her, bless her. Happy days🥰

Beany’s first visit to the field with Teddy and Frankie. He’s ALL about the ball and obligingly drops it at my feet. However, if Teddy is about he’ll snaffle it up so then I have to chase him around the field because he won’t give it up….if it somehow drops anywhere near Frankie who has shown zero interest beforehand she will snaffle it up. Try and get it off her if you dare🫣⚡️💥‼️⛔️☢️☣️⚠️
