A geniculata enjoying its little mealworm spider 🕷️

Phoenix came out last night fresh from moult. Looking a bit slim I thought I’d offer her a mealworm. She was scared of it 🤭

Took a quick snap of her then popped a green bottle in with her instead. The Audaxs are absolutely nuts 😂

Posting update - we are posting this Thursday, however posting next week is looking unlikely as the temperature is hitting 0! So if you want a new bug then this week is safest.

Trying to get back to some kind of normal after Christmas is so hard!!

2024 is exciting for us at Spoods and More. We will be trading at our first ever show British Tarantula Society which we are so excited for! We’ve also got some gorgeous Regius locales coming up and other exciting things too 😉

These are the only photos we’ve ever got of our P. Rufus 🕷️

But it’s grown so much since the second photo in May. It’s due a rehouse very soon so hoping to be able to get a nice photo! We’ve also been unable to s*x as the moults are always trashed 😂

Rehoused the Gandanameno velvets tonight. At the beginning of this year I never thought I’d own these but they’re fantastic spiders and they’re so easy to look after!

Will be adding to this communal very soon with some different sizes!

Hello everyone! 🤩

How was everyone’s Christmas? We’ve had such a lovely few days but also exhausting. Going to try and have a normal (ish) few days before the new year is in.

Oh these Gandanameno spiders are really growing on me. They’re just so grumpily cute!

Planning on getting more in the new year that are juvie/adult! I haven’t told my other half this but he will now know after reading this 😂🕷️

Blue Death Feigning beetles were having a munch on some pear last night. We change their fruit/vegetables every two days and they seem to really appreciate it. They get hydration from this.

Hadrurus arizonensis 🦂

Known as The Giant Hairy Desert scorpion. We’ve had this one a while and it hasn’t moulted in our care yet. I’m pretty sure he’s not adult yet and maybe has one or two moults left?!

We have two P Regius Blue Mountains ready if anyone would like them before Christmas 🎄 They are both instar 5 and feeding on fruit flies.

Blue Mountains are a small locale and will stay very small for another few moults. Size reference of one in my hand so you can tell.

Armadillidium maculatum ‘Chocolate’

These are all young juveniles. I lost the adults 🤷‍♀️ found these tricky to get settled but the juvies are growing on nicely. Hopefully a bit more growing on to do then get some more babies 🤞🏼

Finally set up the Blue Death Feigning beetles tank. We’re really happy with it! We’ve tried to set it up so they can (hopefully) breed but we’ve heard from many it can be quite difficult. Keeping everything crossed 🤞🏼 The INCREDIBLE 3D printed show piece was created by @mm_invertebrates ❤️ check them out where you can find other 3D printed products and the occasional live 🕷️ Asbolus verrucosus 🪲

I’ve uploaded this with the mums permission but these kind of videos make it so worth while to us. This lovely little boy got two spiders from us for his birthday. His reaction is the sweetest. Happy birthday 🕷️
