The forecast next week is set to be in the mid-high 20s everyday, owners of dogs booked in for walks will be contacted regarding changing to home visits or changing times of walks to earlier in the day.

Under no circumstance will I walk a dog once the temperature hits 24 degrees. I will assess each dog individually and make a decision based on the breed, age and health of the dog.

How handsome is Buster?

Me and Buster went on a longer walk today. He was my only walk of the day and I had all the time to drive him to somewhere he could be off lead and he loved it 😍

He was a 10/10 good boy which I was so happy to report back!

Monty decided to have a quick lie down after all the running he did during his walk yesterday. This boy loves to run, his tennis ball and muddy water (doesn’t loved being washed down though) and was super super good for his entire walk, which I love to report back to his owners!

Happy Monday! I had no dogs today, so here’s a photo of Olive tucked up so she can warm up after being out in the cold a few weeks ago! Such a princess 👑 (but we love it for her!)

Hannah’s Hounds has been a little quiet on social media for a while, sorry about that, but we’ve still been working hard. Let me catch you up!

Back in Sep 2022, I was certain that I was shutting down. I had an opportunity in my ‘second job’ which had become my main source of income (and it still is).

October hit and I pretty much had a mental breakdown. My mental health was in the gutter and I stopped doing everything other than dog walking, working and occasionally seeing my friends to keep myself going. Social media stopped as to me it wasn’t a priority.

Fast forward 6 months and I bring you to March.
I’ve taken the opportunity in my second job, which is now my main job and I’m still having an issue with my knee which I sprained last year. Yes, I’m a hazard to myself. These changes mean I need to adapt how I run the business and what services are offered!

Dog sitting services will be stopped with immediate effect, except for existing dog sitting clients. All existing clients will be contacted this week, to inform them of changes and the new process should they wish to book. New contracts with updated terms and conditions will also be sent to you. If you haven’t heard from me by the end of the week, please let me know!

Walking, drop in and day sitting services will remain as normal.

I will also be adding a new photography service. The service will be for dogs and cats 🐾 I will be posting more information on this in a different post shortly.

The thought of shutting my business down was one I was absolutely didn’t want to have to follow through with. Dogs provide me with pure serotonin, but I don’t have any and I love all of the dogs I care for. I’d quite simply miss them all too much!

All affected clients would’ve been notified when I saw them or received a message last week to notify them.

No services will be available on this day and normal services will return on Thursday 29th.

Earlier this week the Queens Funeral was announced as a bank holiday on Monday 19th September. I have made the decision to close the business on this day.

All clients who are affected by this have been contacted.

Services will resume as normal on Tuesday 20th September.
