A different end to the week. After becoming known as international bird rescue Paul has branched out. We had a call from the friend of a customer who was in the process of moving house. Poe (the cat) was safely shut up in a spare room whilst furniture was moved in. When his person went back in to the room to check him, he’d vanished. But there was nowhere that he could have gone … except up the chimney. We have personal experience of that as Her Maj went up the chimney shortly after moving in with us. Paul got the cctv out but there was no sign of a cat. Then a face and paws appeared over the top of the fireback. Paul tried to push him out through the void at the side but that didn’t work. After establishing that the side of the wardrobe was plaster board Paul thought the best course of action was to put a hole in it so that the cat could come out when he was ready. The banging of the hammer clearly upset Poe and he shot out the top of the fire into his owners arms. Poe and his people are now happily reunited and they’re going to seal up any gaps around the fireplaces that a nosy cat could get in to.

Apart from that excitement it’s been much as normal. I’ve been busy in the office getting about 45 sweeps booked in and Paul has been out on his own as Chris is having some time off with his family. Now it’s time for fajitas and maybe a bottle of corona to wash them down. Have a lovely weekend.
