The N;Vestigate girls played lots of their favourite games this week. The parachute and hide and seek are always popular. Our Young Leaders also took a turn at leading some new games.
The N:Gage girls also played games and built jigsaws. Their current badge is Generosity, so they had to find the hidden sweets and then share them out equally.
The N:Count and N:Spire girls put the finishing touches to some art work and did one of their favourite things – cooking!
There are lots of pictures to enjoy including a few more from last week’s Chinese New Year activities.
There’s a special treat next week. See you all there!

This week we celebrated Chinese New year. As it’s the year of the snake we made sparkly snakes, pompom snakes and had snake sweets to try. There was also lots of food including noodles, rice, prawn crackers, spring rolls and fortune cookies which were enjoyed by all. Some even managed to master using chop sticks.

Lots of fun and games again this week with our GB friends.

It’s been a very busy few days for our members. Last weekend we had a stall at the Christmas Fayre at Kingsthorpe Community Church with girls contributing and making some of the gifts. Then many of our girls and their families enjoyed the pantomime Peter Pan at The Savoy theatre.
This week our N:vestigate girls put on a Nativity for all the other members to enjoy. Then the N:gage girls were busy making robin cakes and Christmas angel decorations whilst the N:Counta and N;Spire girls enjoyed hot chocolate, cookies and party games.
Then there was a special delivery with presents for all!
The fun continues next week…………

This week we had a ’Celebration of Light’. We created a variety of light accessories from glow sticks including glasses, ear rings, headbands and more. We painted glow in the dark stones and played noughts and crosses and skittles with glow sticks. Ice cream was enjoyed by all with glow in the dark sweets. We also had some quiet time where we reminded ourselves that ‘Jesus is the light of the world’.

On a cold wet miserable evening outside, there was lots of fun and laughter going on inside at 5th Northampton this week. Skipping, races, table games and hide and seek which is a favourite in all age groups. Then there were animals created out of food. Great fun to make and even better when we could eat them!

Our youngest members continued their badge about pets and welcomed Finley the cat who came to visit. All sections were putting the finishing touches to our Harvest display which will be ready for the weekend. Then there were pet fridge magnets completed and Eton Mess made and enjoyed by the N:Counta girls. Along with the usual mix of games and chat, it was another busy night at 5th Northampton.
Also, last weekend some of the N:Counta and N:Spire girls went tobogganing at The Snozone Milton Keynes.
Finally we would like to say Good Luck to Emma, one of our young leaders, who is off to Cardiff University at the weekend to continue her studies. We will all miss her and wish her well in this next exciting stage of her life.

The summer holidays are over and this week we were pleased to be back at GB once again. We had a special Animal themed evening which included lots of animal games and a visit from a shark! We also welcomed ‘Andrea’s Animals’ which proved very popular. We were introduced to Hermione the tortoise, Elvis the lizard, Amy the python, Daisy the boa constrictor and many more. It was fascinating and we leant lots from Angela. Loads of photos – enjoy!
We look forward to seeing you all next week. Tell your friends.
