The Excellent Adventure Sanctuary (for guinea pigs with extra needs)

Pootle is no longer needing syringe food and is eating well for herself! She wipes her little mouth after every mouthful! So cute! 🥰

We have a new member of our TEAS family! Meet Pootle! ❤️ She arrived yesterday morning and saw Simon yesterday afternoon! She hasn’t stopped eating since! 😄

I love boar/boar bonds! Stitch and Jiggy are both doing well and have gained weight! They’ve only been together a few weeks but they have such a close friendship! 💙💙

Popcorn and Hei Hei are such happy boys! Popcorn has neurological issues and has poor head control, but as you can see, it doesn’t stop him from enjoying life and doing normal piggy things! Sadly something happened to him, when he was a classroom piggy, but luckily a member of staff at the school saved him and contacted us! Hei Hei is a lethal gene piggy, but unlike his twin sister, Cutie Pie, who has dental problems, Hei Hei’s teeth are normal. 💙💙

Rudy is still very happy having lady friends to love! I think they’re very happy with him too, although they enjoy having some time away from him, when they go to visit the other man in their life (uncle Simon). Rudy gets a bit over excited and silly when three of them are in a pet carrier together, so having a girly trip out is preferable! ❤️❤️💙

Another update on piggies who are doing really well! Lethal gene boy, Hei Hei (Cutie Pie’s twin brother) and Popcorn, who has neurological issues, are both happy and not currently needing any ongoing veterinary treatment! They love to wind each other up, but will then cuddle up together! 💙💙

Blitzen is making great progress and getting much bigger, since his visit to Uncle Simon! As he’s got some missing incisors, he will need regular treatment, as the remaining incisors have nothing to wear against, so will get too long, if left, but he’s so happy that he can now eat hay! Uncle Leander has really stepped up and is teaching Blitzen lots, whilst Daddy Monkey is there for lots of cuddles! Such a lovely trio of boys! 💙💙💙

I haven’t given any Shelly updates for a while! As you can see, she’s enjoying life with her friends and her dental issues have cured! ❤️❤️❤️💙

What shall I do today? Bereaved boars bonding! Stitch and Jiggy have both recently lost their little friends, so I’m hoping that out of their sadness can come some happiness! 💙💙 So far, so good!

Introducing Jiggy! 💙 This time yesterday he was struggling to even take syringe food! A visit to uncle Simon and he’s eating already! We will be monitoring that eye as it is a little bulgy, but to have him eating already is amazing! This is exactly why I do what I do! 💙 Jiggy will see uncle Simon again in a fortnight!

Blitzen will be seeing uncle Simon later, for a full health check! He’s settled in so well and is really keeping Daddy monkey and Uncle Leander on their toes! 💙💙💙
