What an amazing day we all had at our Clear round showjumping summer fun day, we raised a great amount of £200 for the Air ambulance from our cake stall and activities that we had going on, thank you to everyone that baked for us and the amazing cake that Emma baked that we raffled off!!
We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that attended and made it today we couldn’t have done it without you ❤️ to the kind people that volunteered to help us through out the day, you know who you are!!
Thank you to our amazing ponies who I think really enjoyed it 🐴🐴
Thank you to our amazing staff for keeping the day running smoothly.
Also we mustn’t forget our little photogenic Unicorn Jiminy. Also thank you to our photographer John, who came out to gain more experience.

A small stab in the heart is what you feel when you put up the day's riding list and you see riders sinking heavily in their shoulders when reading which horse they are assigned for the lesson. A small stab in the heart for that horse that for an hour will carry around a rider who has already decided that he does not like his horse. A small stab in the heart for the horse that did not choose the rider himself but still does his best, lesson after lesson.

Riding is a privilege and something you have chosen to do. If you chose to ride at a riding school, your instructor assumes that you actually want to learn how to ride. The instructor's highest wish is that you get good at it.

Often there is a plan and a thought as to why you are assigned to that exact horse. Before you mount up next time, ask yourself "what can this horse teach me today?" All horses have something to give, a feeling or a new tool in the box.

The art is actually in being able to get a lazy horse to move forward, to get an uncertain horse to gain confidence, a naughty horse to focus or a tense horse to be released. It takes work. If you think a horse is boring, it's more likely that you don't ride the horse as well as you think! It's not easy to be confronted with your own shortcomings, but it is in that very situation that you get the chance to truly grow as a rider.

The excuse that "it's not my kind of horse" is actually a really bad excuse. A good rider can ride any kind of horse. A good rider has trained many hours on different types of horses to become a good rider. A good rider can find and manage the gold nuggets in every horse.

If we absolutely want to ride, it is our duty to strive to do it as best as possible, even if it's only for fun. We owe it to every horse that carries us upon it's back.

Great day yesterday for our Pony day, first we groomed our ponies and then tacked them up.
Had a flat lesson we worked on transitions in walk, trot and canter. Worked on 20m circles and open order. Some good riding from all of the girls.
Then in the afternoon we played gymkhana games 🐴🙂🐴 then rode our ponies up to the field ba****ck 😁

Final day of pony week, another good day. Good pamper session for the ponies this morning tails and legs washed ready for our dressage tests. Everyone rode their dressage tests very well, good job everyone and your ponies looked lovely. Then this afternoon we had a little jump lesson. Then we gave out the certificates and rosettes for the dressage. Thank you Lulu Southam for judging and Ruby Gilkes for being our caller. Fab week, I bet you will all sleep well just as much as we will 🤣

4th day of our pony week.
We had a plaiting lecture this morning so the children learnt how to plait ready for Fridays dressage test they will be doing. Then we had flat lesson where we also included trot poles on the 3/4 line. Working on our ponies rhythm and turns and lines going to to the poles and making sure we stay straight afterwards too.
This afternoon we went on a fun hack to the firs, while the sun was still shining. Then finished off the day taking their ponies to the field 🐴🏇😁☀️

Another good day on our pony week, lecture on bandaging.
Reasons for bandaging legs and tails, they all did very well thanks to our models Theo and Unique. Then we had a flat lesson and jumped in the afternoon. Tack cleaning to finish our day. A very busy day 🐴🏇😁

Great first day of our Pony Week, girls and ponies did very well in the heat. Lecture first on grooming and tacking up. Had a flat lesson after and worked on our dressage test for Friday.
In the afternoon we went on a lovely hack to the firs.
Once we got back from hack we washed our ponies and bare backed them to the field to finish off the day 🐴🏇🐴😁☀️☀️

Hope you are all looking forward to a fun filled pony week. Lots of riding, learning and a little competition at the end of the week. Make sure you put your sun cream on tomorrow and bring plenty of fluids with your packed lunch.
We shall be doing a little competition on Friday morning a little dressage test and show jumping round and then have a reward ceremony with certificates and rosettes

The 2024 Adult two day
Learning how to ride in the field session.

Other sessions included mane pulling and plaiting.

Learning how to lunge a horse

A equine pilates classe to stretch bits that won't stretch.

Sam, Jo, Steph and Brigette all looked wider from behind in the end.

Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves and learnt something new 🐴😃
