👃 If you have multiple cats, be sure to supervise them when you arrive since the returning cat may smell different after their visit. ​

🐱HAPPY CATERDAY🐱

So, you’ve arrived and parked outside… now what?

🤗 Carry the carrier using the top handle with one hand and support the bottom with the other.

📶 When checking in, our reception team will guide you, and some practices may even have a designated cat waiting area.

⏩ Keep the carrier facing towards you so your cat can see you, and keep the sides of the carrier covered to create a safe space.

If your cat is prone to stress, please do ring our team and ask if you can wait in the car until your appointment time.

✨Benji✨

If we had a competition for the cutest ears, Benji would be a star contender.

This good boy came to see us to have some teeth removed, a dental scale & polish and a cyst removal. Trust us, he got his fair share of love and cuddles for his bravery.

🦷Here are some top tips for cleaning your dogs teeth🦷

🪥Start brushing your dogs teeth when they are a puppy to help get them used to the process and help stop problems further into their life.

🪥Always use a pet friendly toothpaste.

🪥If your dog becomes stressed while you are cleaning their teeth, give them a break and come back when they are more relaxed.

👑Pet of the Month👑

Introducing Hallie😻This stunning girl had a history of damage to her right ear tip, which occasionally flared up and caused Hallie’s ear to bleed and swell.

🩺Due to the nature of her ear damage and the possibility of a mass being present, it was advised for Hallie’s ear flap to be removed🩺

🤩She is now doing extremely well, has healed nicely from surgery and Hallie is back to her usual self🤩

Let’s make the stressful part, less stressful! 🚗

😤 Calmly place your cat in the carrier, and if they're anxious, wrap them in a towel with pheromone spray and gently ease them into the carrier.

🚫 Always use a cat carrier during travel; not securing your pet whilst driving could be a finable offense.

🔒 Secure the carrier in your car by using a cushion or a towel on the back seat secure using the seat belt.

😻 Cover the carrier with a towel and reassure your cat by speaking calmly.

🙅‍♀️ Withhold food for two hours before travel if your cat is prone to stress or travel sickness.

🍫☕National Hot Chocolate Day☕🍫

The Abbeycroft team indulged in some delicious hot chocolate to celebrate national hot chocolate day. Home made in the slow cooker while we went about our day, so we could enjoy it together when we all had a spare minute to sit and chat.
