📢Join the Team!

We require a Receptionist to join the friendly front of house team at Willows Veterinary Hospital 🏥

This is a part time post based on working 20 hours / week which would be worked between 8am to 8:30 pm Monday to Friday and Saturday/Sunday between 8.30am and 5.30pm as per a rota.

📞💻⌨️Previous customer service experience is required, although not necessarily within the veterinary industry. Full training will be provided.

💥Fireworks may light up the sky, but they can be overwhelming for our furry friends. Here are a few tips to help keep them calm and safe:
🐾Create a quiet, comfortable space indoors
where they feel secure
🐾Drown out loud bangs with soothing music or
white noise📻
🐾Walk dogs earlier in the day to avoid peak

🐾Keep windows and curtains closed to reduce

Fireworks Safety for our Furry Friends 🎆 Fireworks season can be a frightening time for our pets and we are here to help! Here are some top tips to keep your pets safe and calm: 1️⃣ Create a Safe Haven 🏡: Set up a cozy, quiet space where your pet can retreat to when the fireworks begin. Make it comfy with their favorite toys and blankets. You can make use of rubber kongs / licki mats with their favourite treats on too! 2️⃣ Stay Indoors 🏠: Keep your pets indoors during firework displays. This reduces their exposure to loud noises and flashing lights, helping them feel more secure. Consider keeping cats indoors from the early evening until the following morning and walking dogs earlier in the day. 3️⃣ Close Windows and Curtains 🚪: Drawing the curtains/blinds can minimize the visual stimulation from fireworks, making your pet feel less anxious. 4️⃣ Provide Distraction 🐱 : Engage your pet with interactive toys or play their favorite games to divert their attention from the noise outside. Again, use of kongs and licki mats can be useful! 5️⃣ Play Music / Background Noise 🎵 : Classical Music or the TV can help mask the firework sounds. 6️⃣ ID and Microchipping 🏷️: Ensure your pet is microchipped with up to date details in case they get frightened and run off. 7️⃣ Non Prescription Medications 🧘‍♀️: Consider using pet-specific calming products such as Adaptil, Feliway, Pet Remedy 8️⃣ Prescription Medications 💊: If your pets anxiety/fear has become unmanageable, you may want to consider booking an appointment to discuss this with one of our vets. Prescription medications can be dispensed by our vets following a consultation. If you have any concerns or need more personalized advice, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
