Ivy Lodge DIY Livery specialise in offering an affordable, secure and relaxed range of Livery services for Horses and Ponies in our well equipped converted farm in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.

All our lovely liveries have been treated to this spectacular show of the Northern Lights over the yard.

Whilst I’m sure the ponies all tucked up in there stables are oblivious, it’s quite a sight to see!

Stables Available at Ivy Lodge Livery!

We have two stables opening up at the end of the month! Both stables are located next to each other in the main yard and are a spacious 12x12ft, perfect for mares or geldings. We also have individual paddocks available, or if your gelding prefers, main herd grazing!

Our liveries enjoy amazing facilities, including:

We have had a rare stable come free on the main yard, due to us being very Gelding heavy at the moment this is best suited to a Gelding due to having an established herd to join.

This weekend saw two of our lovely liveries out competing at the “Higher Farm Summer Showcase” event and they didn’t come home disappointed!!🥰🥰🐴🐴

Saturday saw Ellie take Woody in a variety of classes which pretty much resulted in a clean sweep of red rosettes - well done guys!! Ellie you deserve another red one for all the bathing and preparation!🫧🧼🧽🚿

And, then to top the weekend off, today Lucy took Biscuit in the young handler class and only went and won it!! Second ever competition and both Lucy and Biscuit handled it like total Pro’s - well done guys👏👏👏

Whilst it’s always nice to bring home the red Rosettes, it’s the smiles on the owners (and ponies) faces that makes it all worth while❤️

Well done guys!! extra carrots for Biscuit and Woody tonight!!🥕🥕🥕

As we bid farewell to February, we're reminiscing about what seemed like the rainiest months ever (even for horses!). But fear not, as we eagerly anticipate March and the promise of warmer days ahead.

At Ivy Lodge Livery, we're gearing up for a spectacular "Marvelous March" with some exciting events on the horizon:

🌧️🐴 Embracing the Elements: Conquering the Wettest and Muddiest Winter Ever at Ivy IVY Lodge Farm - DIY Livery! 🐴🌧️

As we navigate through this winter season, there's no denying that Mother Nature has truly challenged us with the wettest and muddiest conditions ever known to Man, Woman and Equine. While the raindrops may be relentless and the mud seems to have become our new best friend we have been very fortunate to keep daily trunout, albeit on a reduced hours basis.

Currently our horses are enjoying (Questionable?!) daily turnout between 8.00am and 11am which we find is enough hours to keep the older, creaky horses moving and the younger, sharper horses sane - this is guaranteed to be daily and when the fields (eventually.....) dry out this will be extended.

We are also fortunate to have hardcore tracks to access most of the fields so no loosing welly's on the way to the field 🤣

🌈 Looking Forward to Spring: Sunshine After the Storm! ☀️🌼

While we navigate the wettest and muddiest winter, let's keep our eyes on the horizon. Spring is just around the corner, promising sunshine, blooming flowers, and drier pastures. Until then, let's continue to celebrate the resilience of our horses and to look forward to the "Big shed" when we swop mud splattered cloths to hair covered clothing!

Together, we'll weather the storm and emerge stronger, mud-spattered but victorious!

Its official.....................

We have ruined Maxipuss, formerly nicknamed "GrumpyPuss" now known as "PrincessPuss" 😾😻😽

Chief mousecatcher has kindly been donated a pink Princess bed which he now, in full on Diva style, spends most of his day in - only coming out to demand food 🤣

Whilst this isnt aiding to his productivity for mouse catching, its nice to see the yard cats enjoying some luxury and pampering, and in all honesty, were lucky to not have a mouse issue on the yard (Good job really - they would likely be in bed with MaxiPuss!!)

We do still have one stable free so if you are a cat lover who will supply Maxipuss with Sheba Fine Flakes then why not message the page to come for a look around :)

(We do also have lovely facilities for horses and owners too!)

Quite honestly, does hacking get any better than around Marbury Park? We are so fortunate to have this on our doorstep :) These two short clips so Marbury through one of our liveries eyes on Sunday morning, hacking is generally quiet and we think this is a perfect way to start a Sunday morning :) We do still have stables free at the moment, so if you want this to potentially be you and your horse in the video please either message the page or call Ed on 07913 367 700
