Shock collars and prong collars are methods of torture and should be banned. There is a special place in hell for anyone that uses these on an animal. I know of FAR TOO MANY local people who consider themselves trainers who use these abhorrent tools and coercion methods. There’s one in Hartford that I see on a daily basis. DO YOUR RESEARCH. Trainers should be using a positive reinforcement method and absolutely NO devices like this. If you are seeking a behaviourist - they must be accredited by the ABTC council. PLEASE SHARE so these barbaric methods die out and people are more informed and know what to look out for. I’m not good with eloquent words so I’ll just put it as plainly as I can, if you train your dog by teaching them to expect fear and pain YOU DON’T DESERVE A DOG and you are a giant twot my dear.
