This morning started off badly with an argument between myself and my work colleague Rex 🐾 about him stealing dog biscuits when I went outside to move my car 😬 However things improved greatly when little ray of sunshine Sully the Bedlington cross showed up for his groom. Next was Albie the Sprocker who had been home groomed a few times but the owners daughter has tired out of it now 😂 so it was lovely to see him again. Last dog was Bow the Cavachon and had to be super careful with her as she’s recovering from a cruciate injury.

After my Hospital shift yesterday morning Ralph the devishilly handsome Bassett Hound popped in for a bath 🛁 and brush, he actually loves brung brushed and I’m sure he would stand there all day 😂 This morning started off with Max the Terrier cross and his Mum said he’s cooler now minus a bit of fur. Next was Gem the Yorkie mooching about the garden with another Yorkie? 🤪 After lunch the sun comes round into my shed and it heats up in there 🥵 so had the window and door wide open to groom Poppy the Labradoodle.

Housemates Loki the Brittany Spaniel and Charlie the Sprocker turned up this morning but their owner came with heartbreaking 💔 news 😢 Loki has been diagnosed with a brain tumour and is losing sensation in her front paws, she still has a good qualify of life so her situation is being assessed each day along with advice from the vet. I dry clipped Loki so it’s wasn’t so stressful and her Mum collected her then I groomed Charlie and Rex 🐾 and myself walked him back home. After lunch Monty the Cavachon came to see us and we sang along to the Zoe Ball Radio 📻 2 show from Glastonbury.

It’s been an eventful week 😬 I took Monday off so I could go away in my camper van 🚐 for 3 days but I ended up spending the day at Northwich Infirmary and then Leighton Hospital having a dog hair removed from my eye. Rex and myself finally headed off on Tuesday and here he is chillaxing 😂 Got back on Thursday and Ruby the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel came along in the afternoon for a short trim all over. Today started as yesterday ended with a King Charles but this one was Loki and he had his fur clipped while his Mum went for a hair cut. Next was Eric the Cockapoo for a bath 🛁 between grooms and last dog was Bella a Terrier cross for a short back and sides.

Yesterday morning a couple of housemates came along together and Max the Golden Retriever was the first one on my table for a pamper. Once he was dry Pablo the black Labrador took his turn and then a quick play in the garden before Mum came back to collect them. Had a cancellation so I managed to get Ted the Schnauzer in, he doesn’t like the warm weather so I clipped him short.
Hospital shift this morning then Nelly the Westie called round and take a look at those fine ears, if she flapped them I’m sure she would take off 😂🤗

I’m posting this with a tear in my eye as Rex 🐾 and myself said a sad farewell to Charlie the Border Terrier cross who was collected by his Dad this afternoon. He had been staying with us for a fortnight and we have loved his company. He’s had three walks a day mainly through Thorn Wood, played with his toys, met some of my other customers dogs and sat out in the garden with us. Goodbye 👋 Charlie and hope to see you soon for your next groom.

This morning started off with Bruno the Shih Tzu, you might see his groom out and about and rate it 4 / 5 out of 10 but I’m giving myself an 8 as he’s such a little monkey 🐵 to groom 😂 I struggled with his left front paw and around the left side of his face but got a better finish than I have in previous grooms. Next was Rowan the Cockapoo and he had a shorter clip off with the warm weather. Last dog was Jono the Springer Spaniel striking a handsome pose on my grooming table.

Shout out to anyone who has been working in this heat today, it’s been a scorcher 😎 hasn’t it 🥵 First dog this morning was Nya the Shih Poo and she had a short clip off all over including her tail. Next was Buddy the Westie cross and used my medicated shampoo on him as his skin is sensitive. Last dog was Piper the Cockapoo she normally has one of my 1cm grooms which I like to call the short but not too short groom, however today I went a blade and comb lower to keep her cool in this heat.

Yesterday morning started off with Tilly the Cairn cross and she did her best I’m not looking at you pose 😂 In the afternoon Button’s Mum took the opportunity to visit a local garden centre while he spent a few hours in our company having a groom. This morning was my day off but Charlie the Border Terrier cross is staying with us for a couple more days and his owner asked me to groom him while he is here.

Lighter coloured coats today and the first one was Jonjo the Cockapoo who walked round with his Mum and managed to dodge the showers ☔️ Mid morning housemates Millie and Monty arrived, Millie has a longer length trim at 1cm while Monty has a short clip down and here’s an extra photo of him pulling funny faces in the garden 😂

Yesterday morning started off a bit confusing with two Charlies in my house, one who is staying with me and Charlie the Doodle who turned up for her groom and here’s an inside and outside photo of her. Next was Tia the Cockapoo and trimmed a bit more fur away from around her muzzle this time.
This morning Billy the Springer Spaniel came to visit, he is as mad as a box of frogs 🐸 off the table but fortunately well behaved on it 😂 Last dog was Waffle the Cockapoo and don’t know why he is looking so sheepish as he is such a nice boy and never puts a foot wrong 🤗

Hospital shift yesterday morning then met up with Max the Cocker Spaniel who had been on a big walk around Delamere Forest 🌳 He stayed clean until the last few minutes then ran through a huge muddy puddle 😬😂
Mid morning Peggy the Shih Tzu turned up, her owners are from Runcorn and while she is being groomed they have a coffee ☕️ at The Orchard then go for a walk around Weaverham. Last dog was Pixie who is a Pug x Chihuahua and trimmed around her face a bit more today.
