Wasn’t sure whether to post the more professional photo for Oscar the Shorkie or the more informal mooching around the garden shot so he got both 😂 Next and last dog of the day was Gem the Yorkie and try as I might I couldn’t get her to look at me 😂 That’s it for a couple of days so there’s a glass of cider 🍺 with my name on it. Enjoy the sunshine ☀️

First dog yesterday morning was Sully the Bedlington Terrier cross and like a lot of his breed he is troubled with skin problems. His owners gave me some Malaseb shampoo to bath him in and asked if I could clip him short as it seems to help a bit. Next was Milo the Cockapoo, he is normally a live wire but he was a bit calmer this time. Last dog was Eric the Cockapoo cross, I normally like to leave his coat a bit longer but his fur is quite coarse and he has plenty of walks so a shorter cooler style was in order. Just the one this morning and it was Bella, here she is pottering around the garden and saying hello to Rex. Headed off then for a very pleasant afternoon watching Twelfth Night at Shakespeare North in Prescot 🤗

First dog this morning was Blue the Springer Spaniel, he’s not keen on having his photo taken so I had to chase him around the garden 😂 Next was Mae the Sprocker and her owners said she had been rolling in something unpleasant so I got the chance to use my fox 🦊 poo 💩 shampoo on her. Last dog was Oscar the apricot coloured Cockapoo and he has quite a long length clip but he is well brushed out by his owners which allows me to keep his coat longer. I don’t know why I was so worried about your dogs eating my strawberries 🍓 when the culprit today was much nearer to home, see bottom photo 😡

First dog this morning was Peppi the Bichon and here he is on the table then later having a mooch around the garden before his Mum collected him. After lunch Bella the Llasa Apso cross arrived, for her groom she had a short body but longer tail with fuller ears. My strawberries 🍓 are doing quite well, I hope none of the dogs sniff them out and have a sneaky snack 🤣

I’m not taking on new customers at the moment so I’ve got a few gaps appearing in my diary, however, I agreed to do these newbies a few weeks ago. I’m glad they came along though as they were fabulous dogs and mixed with my Rex with no problems. First one in the shed was Nelson the Bassett Hound and he was the first Basset I have groomed. I thought the breed were supposed to be a bit wilful but he was such a pleasant and chilled fella. Next then was Maggie the German Shepherd and gave her a good blast and brush through her coat, a load of undercoat came out as you can see from my shed floor 😬

First dog yesterday morning was Annie the Cockapoo and she stepped over the threshold into my house of her own free will instead of having to be pulled over 😬😂 Next was Bailey the Bulldog and he is on the same skin treatment as my Rex and his coat is much improved as well. This morning Nellie the Westie came along and after her groom and a potter in the garden we walked her back home 🤗

Does anybody else think 🤔 it’s chilly, I was wearing gloves this morning. First dog through the door was Chester the Cockapoo and I made a neater job of him this time as he didn’t try to hump my clipping / sc******ng arm 😬 Next was Albie the Colliedoodle, all the shades of grey appeared in his lovely coat when he was trimmed down. Last dog was Pippa the Yorkie and her owners wanted her as short as I could go. I think I will have to rename Rex to Casanova ❤️ as he seems to have bagged himself another girlfriend.

After a busy few weeks, it slowed up this working week and first dog on Thursday was Max the Golden Retriever. While his family had a little break away, he goes to the in-laws farm so I gave him a good scrub and brush through. Next was Button the Shih Tzu and he pottered around the garden while his Mum made the most of her free couple of hours and did a bit of shopping. This morning was Jaxx the Dachshund and he has his pamper while Dad goes to get a haircut in the Village. Headed off then to Whitley to watch the Women’s Tour of Britain 🇬🇧 road race ride by, it is starting and finishing at Golden Gates in Warrington. Good luck girls 🚴‍♀️

First dog this morning was Max the Terrier cross when I was taking his photo I whistled and got a great picture of him looking inquisitive. Next was Loki the Labradoodle, I took him into my shed and he jumped straight onto my grooming table ready to get the job started 😂 Last dog was JD the Springer Spaniel cross, he is an elderly gent but he ran around my garden like a Spring lamb once his groom was finished 🤗

Dogs are living things not statues so sometimes the groom you want to achieve doesn’t happen 😬 Bruno the Shih Tzu was rescued from another owner and he’s never liked his feet being touched therefore his paws 🐾 are a bit untidy but he’s a happy bunny. Next was Mumbles a Terrier cross, he was one of my mobile customers who came back to see me this morning. Last dog was Teagan the Cocker Spaniel, her Mum was a bit delayed picking her up so I fed Rex his tea and she was very miffed and looked at me to say where’s mine 😂

First dog this morning was the lovely lady Lottie the Labrador, she sheds hair more than any dog I know and there was a lot today as well 😬 Next was Charlie the Border Terrier Cross, he had a short clip down and it revealed his gorgeous stripy coat underneath. Last was cheeky Tobi the Yorkie and I think pulling his tongue out at me was a bit uncalled for 😂

First dog this morning was Charlie the Doodle and she came along with muddy paws 🐾 after her walk around Marbury Park, here’s Rex photo bombing her 😂 Next was Ted the Schnauzer for a short Summer clip off and a beard trim. Last dog was Ruby the XL Bully who had a nice refreshing bath 🛁 and a play in the garden before Mum came back to collect her.

Hospital shift yesterday morning then delightful Tia the Cockapoo called in, her owner said a short back and sides so I went two blades shorter and clipped off a lot of fur ready for the warm weather. This morning a couple of Spaniel housemates turned up together, they were Loki a Brittany Spaniel and Charlie the Sprocker. While Charlie was having his groom, Loki sneaked on Rex’s bed and had forty winks 💤 and then it was her turn, however, she only gets clipped as she is still a bit too nervous to put in the bath 🛁 Last dog was cheeky chappie Dexter and when I opened the door he had stolen one of Rex’s toys from the front garden and was proudly standing there with it in his mouth 😂

Yesterday morning started off with a new customer called Bailey, her owners wanted her short on the body but a longer length Westie head shape. Just to say Bailey will be my last new customer for a while as my Dad is very poorly 😞 In the afternoon Sully the Shih Poo called round and went a touch shorter on him. This morning started off with housemates Barney the Lab and Mac the Labradoodle, they have been in kennels while their family were on holiday so they came along for a bath 🛁 and freshen up. Last dog was Betsy the Cockapoo and she was much better with the dryer today 😬

This morning started off with a new customer called Eddie and he is an English Show Golden Cocker Spaniel to give him his full title and like quite a lot of Cockers he was a bit vocal 😬 Next was Alfie the Sprocker, he joined Rex and myself for lunch although he was more interested in my cheese sandwich 🥪 than Rex’s carrots 🥕😂 Last dog was Peggy the Shih Tzu and she had a short trim while her owners spent the afternoon in The Orchard deli round the corner from me.

Picked up a late cancellation yesterday afternoon which I couldn’t fill in time so I groomed Bella the Sprocker this morning on my day off to make up the pennies. Here’s a sleepy photo of Bella and then a playful one 🤗 Headed off then for a walk around the Village while the sun was shining and strolled back along the lovely Riverside Walk in Owley Wood with Rexy 🐾

Saturday morning started off with Jaxx the Dachshund and his regular monthly mud bath treatment. Next was Hachi the Bichon looking sparkly white after her groom then it was time to eat plenty of cake 🍰 and an evening out as I celebrated my Birthday 🥳 This morning started off with Nya the Shih Poo and her owner wanted her as short as I could go. Last dog was Amber the Labradoodle and she was the opposite and has a longish coat at just under 1.5cm.

Yesterday was housemates Tia the Cockapoo and Buddy the Westie cross, their Mum lives locally and preferred to bring them separately rather than together which is fine with me whatever works best for my customers 👍 Today started of with Luka who is a Romanian rescue dog, his tail had got a bit bushy so I gave that a good trim. Next was lovely Bob the tri coloured Border Collie for his pamper session. Last dog of the day was handsome Blue the German Shepherd, he comes along every 3 months for a deshed, sometimes I don’t pull out much undercoat from his coat but today there was a bag full 😂

Day off today but we’ve all been there, you take a week off and then spend the next week catching up 😬 First dog this morning was Waffle the Cockapoo and he comes along for a complete strip off a few times per year. Next was Rowan and he spent the weekend out on the water around Bala and enjoyed barking at other rowers and canoeists 😂 Looked through my grooming magazines and these two products - a bath massage brush and a bottle of tear stain remover won awards so I’ve bought them and will be trying them out.

Hospital shift yesterday morning then back home to meet up with Max the Cocker Spaniel in the afternoon, here he is posing in his best Crufts show stance 😂 This morning started with Winston the Cockapoo, he looks a bit guilty as if he’s knocked over my Iris behind him but my clumsy dog did that 😬 Next were housemates Jasper the Miniature Pinscher and Sapphire the Border Terrier who suddenly became my best friends when they spotted my chicken 🐓 sandwich. Last dog was another gem 💎 stone named dog it was Ruby the Cockapoo having a snoop around the garden while waiting for her Mum to return.

Yesterday morning was a couple of curly coated types, first was Milo the Cockapoo followed by Poppy the Cavapoochon. Headed off to Runcorn then to drop off my 10th set of accounts to my Accountant for him to work his magic on 😂 This morning started with Brooklyn the Cockapoo having a mooch around the garden and then it was Bilbo the Terrier cross for a clip off and tidy up. Right then hands up 🤚 who’s watching Eurovision 🎤 🎵 🕺 tonight 🤗

Nice little break away in Morecambe and here’s Rex getting a bit of sand between his paws 🐾 First dog this morning was Meg the Border Collie for a bath and a blast to get out her shedding undercoat. Next was Annie the Cockapoo practising her yoga 🧘‍♂️ in the garden, that’s a great dog face down pose 😂 Last one was Mac the Labradoodle for a short trim with the nice warm weather on its way 🤗

Nice warm sunny day which means I can open my shed door and let the outside in 🤗 first dog this morning was Fern the Springer Spaniel and I clipped her body short and trimmed down all her feathers. Next was Bella the Labrador and here she is keeping guard when she heard a neighbours dog bark. Last dog was Bailey the Bulldog and his skin is much improved with his new medication.

Like Groundhog Day, a day off but a couple of housemates turn up. This time it was Monty the Spaniel cross with Millie the Maltipoo. Poor Rexy got turfed out of the shed as someone was napping on his bed but he didn’t mind as he lay outside in the sunshine 🌞 on the warm paving slabs.

Yesterday morning started off with Max the Golden Retriever, he only tolerates my high velocity blaster around his back end but I turned it down and brushed him at the same time and managed to get his chest nice and dry. Next was Sully the Bedlington Terrier, went a touch shorter on his coat and then he headed off to play with his new pal, an Airedale puppy. Last dog was Jonjo the Cockapoo and concentrated on trimming out his furry paws 🐾 Day off today but squeezed in Shih Tzu housemates Lola and Mindy, not sure what they are all looking at in the last photo 🤔

One of my customers sent me this video as I have to get them to help me clip their Dachshunds nails. He’s not quite that bad but it made us all laugh 😂

The Queen as you may have heard was not available today so my Sister whose Birthday it is stood in for her 😂 My grooming shed is officially open for business and I shall be working in there tomorrow 😊
