Can you see a bit of a theme in these photos, lots of snoozing 💤 and bed stealing going on 😂 Instead of grooming today myself and Rex have been visited by little Button the Shih Tzu who we are looking after for the day. He walked round the block first thing with us but I think we walked too far and I had to keep picking him up and carrying him. Since then he’s been like Goldilocks and has slept everywhere including Rex’s bed in the kitchen which Rex doesn’t seem too impressed about 😬

Yesterday morning Max a Terrier cross called in first thing and he had a trim and tidy up. I had a joiner here doing jobs and got distracted and forgot to take his photo so this is one from earlier in the year. In the afternoon it was Coco the Yorkie’s turn and didn’t clip her quite as short as usual as it’s flippin freezing 🥶 out there. This morning Annie the Cockapoo came along for her regular groom and here she is doing her best Crufts show pose in the garden. Last dog was Buster the Chihuahua, he was here not long ago but just popped back today for a bath 🛀 quick whizz over his coat with my clippers and a paw 🐾 tidy.

I’ve got some Ancol collars and leads from the Extreme range for sale. The collars are for medium to large dogs but the leads can be for any size. You won’t find these cheaper anywhere else. The price is in the comments section. Thanks for looking 🤗

This morning started off with Jaxx the Dachshund for his regular monthly bath 🛀 and brush and his Dad holds him while I do his nails. Next was Waffle the Cockapoo, he had a longish coat and his owner asked me to keep a bit of length in it. However, after trying to clip him with my comb attachments snagging and pulling in his fur, I decided the kindest and easiest option was to get a short blade and whip his coat off as it otherwise it can be quite unpleasant experience for a dog. Last was Eddie and left the fur on his body a bit longer but concentrated on those furry Cocker Spaniels paws 🐾

Wet and windy day today and Rex and myself spent it working in our shed and listening to the wonderful Sara Cox on the last day of her Great Northern Marathon Challenge for Children in Need, which she completed around 4pm 🤗 bravo Sara 👏 First dog through the door was Peppi the Bichon, he has recently been diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease which has thinned his coat but otherwise he seemed in good spirits. Next was Bella, a Terrier cross and I always clip off a surprising amount of fur from her coat. Last dog was Eric the Cockapoo cross and after his groom I took him back to his Dad who was waiting in a local pub 🍺

Smashing couple of days away in my camper van 🚐 around Shrewsbury and yesterday visited the brilliant British Ironwork Centre which is well worth a visit if anyone is out that way and a very reasonable £5 admission price out of season. Back this morning and straight into my shed to groom lovable Max the Cocker Spaniel and kept his coat a touch longer using an equivalent length comb attachment instead of a blade.

Yesterday mid morning Jono the Springer Spaniel popped along and I couldn’t decide whether I preferred his on the table photo or the garden one so here’s both 😂 Next was lovable Poppy the Llasa Apso who was a bit overdue her groom so I didn’t mess about and just got a short blade and whipped her coat off. This morning Jonjo the Cockapoo walked round, he has a thicker Spaniel type coat rather than a curly Poodle one. He’s another that I couldn’t decide on his inside our outside photo so I’ve posted both 🤗

A day of dog sitting rather than dog grooming and it was little Buster the Chihuahua who was our guest for the day. At first I was just going to check on him while he was in his own home but after a successful couple of hours visiting me and Rex last week we decided he should spend the day while his Mum had family business to attend to. I groom Buster but he likes to be handled on his own terms so he’s had a few strokes today but I’ve not forced myself on him. I think he’s had a good day and he’s certainly welcome again 🤗

Just the one this morning and it was Peggy the Shih Tzu who I groomed while her Runcorn owners had a walk around Weaverham and stopped off at The Stronghold for barms and coffee ☕️ Got an unusual photo of Peggy as she’s half lit in the lunchtime sunshine ☀️

Yesterday Chester the Cockapoo turned up and he wasn’t as fidgety on his paws 🐾 so I got a better finish on them. In the afternoon Buddy another Cockapoo arrived and it’s surprising the difference in size from one dog to another in the same breed. I had to go a bit shorter than I hoped on his coat as his fur had got a bit knotted and tangled in places. Day off today but it has been a quiet working week so Pixie a Pug cross came along for a trim and tidy.

I’ve groomed Poppy the Cavapoochon many times and at the beginning of the year she gained a new housemate called Winnie who is a Shih Poo. They have always tuned up separately until today when their owner dropped them off together nice and early. They were very well behaved while I took it in turns to groom them although they did steal poor Rex’s bed so he took himself away to the kitchen and laid on his other bed in there 😂 Here’s a bit of advice from the Kennel Club about caring for your dog before and during the fireworks 🧨

Just the one today and it was Co**ha the XL Bully, this is a previous photo as I forgot to take one this morning. She had a bath 🛀 a brush and her ears cleaning 🤗 When you turn up for your appointment if you poke your nose into the porch area there’s some Ancol collars and toys for sale.
