The beautiful Charlie ❤️
Look how happy she is to come swimming! Charlie joins us to provide joint support for her arthritis and assist in her weight loss, alongside acupuncture with Holistic Vet Norfolk
Swimming is great exercise for arthritic joints as dogs are able to stretch their legs and maintain flexibility without the strain of weight on their joints, and helps build up their muscles, the warm water also encourages blood flow which assists in reducing arthritic inflammation.
As you can see Charlie loves her sessions and she brightens our day each time 🥰
Check out the progress for Bonnie the Boxer 🌟 from her first swim to her fifth.
Bonnie joined us for puppy swims to help introduce her to swimming and build her water confidence.
Boxers aren't natural swimmers due to their large chest and strong forelimbs but they can learn to coordinate with a bit of practice.
For Bonnie it took four sessions in buoyancy to work out how to keep her forelimbs underwater and this week she went into harness and is swimming beautifully. We're so proud of her progress ❤️
A few clips from Chip and Missy's joint session.
Chip joined us to support his arthritis but he struggled with noise sensitivity and would be put off by planes flying overhead, ever since Missy joined him he hasn't noticed!
They have very different swim styles and speeds, but we use two therapists and find the balance that works for them both.
All dogs start with a solo introduction, and then can combine dogs from the same household for an additional £5

Mr Chip in his headband🐶
The water can sometimes bother dogs ears when they swim causing them to excessively shake, to make sure this doesn’t impact their swim, we have special headbands to protect their ears.
Sam went from reluctantly retrieving the toy to throwing himself in! Watch how much his confidence grows during his session🐶
