A sad few days at Behind Closed Paws as I laid rest to my beautiful, amazing little girl Petal who sadly passed away peacefully in my arms at the age of 15.

Petal was rescued from a shed at age 1, she had been living in her own mess without any love or care. It's safe to say I spoiled her and gave her the best life possible.

Petal was one of the inspirations behind me starting Behind Closed Paws due to her reactivity and tendency to sometimes mistake small sausage dogs for a snack! I love her very much and will miss her for the rest of my life.

All of you who have followed this journey and used the park all know that dogs are a part of the family. I am absolutely heartbroken to have lost Petal and if you're reading this, see this as a reminder to hug and kiss your dogs every day as much as you can.
Make the most out of the short lives that we get to share with them.
