A short week this week due to being on leave for a long weekend away…this week has been HOT 🥵…the pups managed brilliantly in difficult conditions and were super happy with check in visits if it was too warm for any walkies 🥰

Just another reminder about my AL dates that will be coming up ☺️…

Becky will be covering the end of next week for those that have requested and I have managed to sort the schedule for the 23rd Aug to finish by 1pm so no need for any cancellations 🥰

Don’t forget that if you want any cover for walks or check ins for my November holiday then do let me know asap as Becky’s days are pretty full already for then 💜🐶🧡

Morning Everyone,

Back in April I announced there would not be a price increase for walks and that this would be reviewed again in September…having done a bit of market research for dog walkers who are similar to myself (sole trader and offering solo walks) there will unfortunately be a slight increase to some walk costs from 1st September 2024…

The new wacky walkies logo and website is currently being designed so it makes sense to have the new prices implemented for when this goes live 🐾

So the start of the week brought Monty & Dexter back to the books for some adhoc walks whilst their hoomans are away…both boys full of energy and mischief as usual 💜🐶🧡

Aswell as Monty & Dexter this week looks to bring some warmer weather again which means the hot weather policy will be implemented when necessary ☀️

The Wacky Walkies Wagon….coming to a road near you 😆

It’s nearly time for the BMW to retire and become a much loved weekend car…from the 12th August the wacky walkies wagon will be on the road with business approved dog crates in the back for easy transportation of dogs for small group walks…the back of the van will have ventilation and the crates will be separated with a fixed partition so they do not feel like their space is invaded in anyway 🥰

The next chapter begins 💜🐶🧡

So although Monty has been on the books a few weeks now, today was my first visit with him as Becky had been covering them up until now 🥰

Well thanks to the heatwave I have finished much earlier than normal…the grass has been cut…the washing hung out…the dogs hosed off so now it’s time to enjoy the sunshine ☀️

There will be no charges for the cancellations made due to the heatwave as it is not within anyone’s control and it’s rare we get this sort of weather…next week looks back to normal 👍🏼

This week we’ve had…long walks…short walks…shaded walks…sunny walks…play visits and more 🥰

It’s always a pleasure to have the gorgeous Pig on the books whenever her family are in town 💜🐶🧡

With the weather set to reach between 26-30 degrees tomorrow and Friday I will be implementing my hot weather policy ☀️…

This means that all walks scheduled after 10.30/11 am will automatically switch to shorter check in/play visits and all hour walks scheduled before this time will be dropped to 45 minutes…

If you are going to be at home with your pooches and no longer require a check in visit can you kindly let me know 😊…

Water will be provided on all walks and visits and I will make sure any walks that can go ahead will be done so in shaded areas….your dogs water will be refilled as I leave….

It’s important that your pooch and I stay safe in these conditions….walks can wait a day or two…heatstroke will not 🥵

This week has been crazy busy…27 dogs walked…a small fall this morning…a total of 170,750 steps walked in 4 days…yep I’m ready for the weekend!!

Hey Hey!

So here’s my next set of annual leave dates for your calendars/diaries…

I will try and prioritise those that definitely need the walk on the 23rd due to having to finish early so if you don’t need a walk that day due to being at home please let me know 🙏🏼…

As you can see I will be off for a long holiday in November which I appreciate may cause a bit of an inconvenience for some of you, so please get in touch should you want Becky to cover walks in this period…I will again make the assumption that if she has covered for you before, you will want her to cover during this time, so your pups place is already secure during these dates….as I’ve said before Becky’s slots are more limited than mine so the remaining slots will be given on a first come, first serve basis 😊

Well that’s 23 dogs seen to over the past 3 days 🤩…it’s been lovely being back with them all…this weekend there are lots more walks booked in aswell as chaperoning Pig to her hoomans wedding on Sunday 👰🏼🐶🤵🏻‍♂️….

Just a reminder that I do not have a car on Monday due to it being at the garage so all walks unless communicated differently are cancelled…
