🦄Saturday 8th March🦄
💵 £16 per class (includes 1st aid cover)
🐎Classes: x-poles through to 1m
🐎 7 Showjumps and 6 Arena XC type fences
🐴 Warm up outdoors, Classes indoors
⏰Timings: classes start at 8.30am. Individual times given 1 week before the event on Facebook.

⏰⏰ CLEAR ROUND CLASS TIMINGS - PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE APPROX!⏰⏰

➡️Course walk 4.45pm - 5pmthere will also be 5min to walk the course in between classes)

➡️ X-Poles - 5.05pm
➡️ 50cm - 5.10pm
➡️ 60cm - 5.35pm
➡️ 70cm - 6.15pm
➡️ 80cm - 6.45pm
➡️ 90cm - 7.25pm

🦄 Please do not arrive before 4.45pm due to college buses entering/leaving the site.
🦄 Car park gates are to be kept closed at all times.
🦄 Please let the steward know when you arrive in the warm up and they can keep you informed on how timings for your class are going.
🦄 Dress code - casual! Correctly fitted hat to be worn when mounted at all times.
🦄 Please remember that no horses are to be left tied up to vehicles and no haynets are permitted in the car park.

Looking forward to our first one of the year! Make sure you wrap up warm as the forecast looks chilly, although thankfully dry!
As you know parking space is tight so please park mindfully and remember no haynets or horses are to be tied up outside vehicles please 🙏 and the main wooden gates are to remain closed.

Our Level 3 year 1 students had a very interesting visit to Redwings HQ at Hapton on Thursday.
They got to see their equine hospital in action and met some of the residents being prepared for rehoming, with an explanation of some of the training techniques used on site.
They also had some very interesting talks on considering equine behaviour in how we manage horses and on some of the campaigns Redwings engages in to improve horse welfare such as Stamp Out Strangles and the Keep Horses in Mind campaign to examine how horses are affected by fireworks.
The students really enjoyed meeting some of the residents, though were disappointed we couldn’t fit one of the Shetlands in the coach for the way home! 🐴

🎄Seems that our students and liveries know us too well when it comes to the perfect Christmas gift 😂
It may be the last day of term today but our amazing equine technician team here at Easton College will continue working to care for our horses over the Christmas break so these are very much deserved 🥰

🎄Everyone has been feeling very festive this week at Easton College for 2 fantastic days of Christmas jumping and showing! Don’t the horses look fab!! Well done to all of the students who took part in and helped with the shows 🤩 You and the horses are all on Santas nice list this year 🎅 🎁 ⭐️

We have made the decision to cancel Saturdays dressage competition due to the high winds 💨and rain 🌧️ forecast. Although the weather apps are constantly updating, the latest one below would make it unsafe to travel horses and very unpleasant in the outdoor warm up arena.
All entries will be carried over to our next scheduled competition on January 25th 2025 but if you would like a refund please email [email protected] - please do not request refunds on this post as comments are not always followed!

⚠️DECISION HAS BEEN MADE TO POSTPONE - PLEASE SEE SEPARATE POST

‼️⚠️ DRESSAGE COMPETITORS⚠️‼️
As you are probably aware there is another named storm due to hit us this weekend with strong winds and heavy rain currently forecasted for Saturday.
What are your thoughts on continuing to run the dressage event?
Whilst the actual competition is indoors, the warm up is not, plus travelling horses in high winds isn’t ideal and I’d hate to go ahead and then have a ton of withdrawals, or people feeling like they have to come.
I’d love some feedback please to help us make the right decision based on what our competitors think.
