🤩In keeping with our college colours, the indoor arena has had a makeover in our own ‘CCN Purple’ and had a full set of brand new LED lights ready for the winter months 🤩 Whether you love it immediately or need a bit of time to adjust there’s no denying that it’s fresh, bright and fun and will certainly keep the winter blues away!! #EastonCollegeEquine #ECEC #Purple #onbrand #makeover #itsavibe
🤩🦄 If you didn’t manage to see our display yesterday at Royal Norfolk Show then head over to the Equine Demonstration Ring at 2.30pm today to find out a bit about what we do and see our fabulous horses and students in action 🦄🤩
What a beautiful day for our Intelligent Horsemanship day with IH trainer Garry Bosworth.
Garry used Benji to give us a fantastic demonstration of join up, before moving onto some handling and ground work techniques.
This afternoon the students will have the chance work with a horse and practice what they have learned 🐴
How lucky are our students getting to assist Gillian with the painting of tonight’s Horses Inside Out demo horses 🤩
Lovely to see our Level 3 Year 2 students using a variety of in-hand exercises this afternoon to work on their horses suppleness, coordination and balance, whilst also improving their own horse handling skills.
We think it is really important to give our horses plenty of variety in their work and they all really benefit from these fun sessions 🦄
Lily, Kocha and Bonny fully enjoying the first day of proper sunshine for a very long time ☀️ So nice to be able to get rugs off for a few hours and let them have a good old roll and a scratch 🐴
So lovely to see the horses out relaxing in our new herd turnout fields on this sunny winter weekend ☀️😍

Amazing result for working livery Casattina and Equine Technician Gina at the weekend coming 3rd in their class at the Norfolk Show Jumping Club unaffiliated show on Saturday 🚀
20yr old Cassie is a fantastic safe schoolmistress who loves to step it up a gear at the weekends 🦄
Lovely to see our 2nd year students starting to practice their coaching skills during their Friday afternoon enrichment session. Tabitha did a great job of coaching a small group of riders through some school movements today ⭐️
Level 3 Year 1 students riding out this morning as part of their weekly enrichment session. They are all working towards their BHS Ride Safe qualification which will prepare them for riding horses safely in the open and on the roads 🐴
🤩 The course for this weekends arena hires was designed and built by our second year Level 3 students as part of their Event Management module. They then asked technician Gina to pop round on the legend that is Cassie to make sure all the distances and lines rode correctly 🦄 Excellent team work 👌🏻
If you would like to come and have a jump round it there are still spaces available for Sunday - please book via www.schoolhire.co.uk
L3Y2 Students giving some of the horses a lunging session this afternoon with instructors Amy and Jaye. Students are paired up with 1 horse between 2 and when not lunging they are tasked with completing a peer review as well as assessing the horses way of going 🦄
What a lovely sight to have our wonderful college horses back in the arenas. Our second year Level 3 students have stepped in this morning to get the horses exercised before it gets too hot 🥵 Excellent show of good horsemanship!
They can now spend the rest of the day in their shady stables before going out this evening when it has cooled down a bit!
🛑 IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ANYONE HIRING THE ARENA THIS WEEKEND 🛑
In an effort to humanely rid the arena of the pigeon population that seems to have settled in it, we have invited Harry the Hawk 🦅 to live in there! Harry hangs just above the main door and floats about looking menacingly at any pigeon who dares cross his path 😡 He also sporadically makes hawk noises, which horses won’t pay attention to, but it may make humans jump so we thought it only fair to warn you!
Unfortunately he was on a break at the time of making this video and remained silent 🤦🏼♀️ However, I was in there for 30mins and didn’t see a single pigeon so he’s definitely earning his keep 🦅
Prince and Diesel are very much enjoying their ‘holiday home’ whilst the main yard is being pressure washed and painted 🦄
Final individual tests are now underway! Here is Ex-racer Bertie doing a beautiful job!
Merlin, Jamindeh and Winnie performing beautifully in the team test 🫶🏼
