Hope everyone had a beautiful Mother's Day yesterday.

It's quite ironic that our cows seem to be celebrating by popping out calves left, right, and centre! 😂 Seriously though, it's the sweetest sight to see all those fluffy babies with their mummies in the field right behind the salon. Which makes just the most beautiful view for my salon windows.

Happy International Women's Day! 💥 At Claire's dog grooming me and my work bestie Sophie are proving that girl power is real!

We're strong, honest, and dedicated professionals who have gone through the training, seminars, and workshops to be able to do what we do. We've got the experience and I've definitely got the t-shirt! We're proud of it!

And while we celebrate the strength of women today, we also recognize the importance of the supportive men in our lives. Personally, I'm incredibly grateful for the unwavering support I receive. ♥️

Here's to all the women in the pet industry who are crushing it, and also to the men who lift us up!

🥞 Hope you're having a "flippin'" good time!
This pancake day!

We're not "batter" at making dog-friendly treats, so here's a recipe your pups will "woof" down!

Because why should humans have all the "pancakes and pawsitivity"? 😉

(Dog-friendly recipe below!)



Peanut butter pancakes

Ingredients:
2 eggs
100 grams of flour
250ml water
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp peanut butter (xylitol-free)
50g of blueberries or chopped strawberries

Topping:
1 tbsp peanut butter (xylitol-free)
50g of blueberries or chopped strawberries

Method:

Beat the eggs in a large mixing bowl
Add water, peanut butter and flour to the beaten eggs.

If the pancake mixture is very thick you can add more water.

Place a frying plan on a medium heat and add a small amount of olive oil.

Add a ladle of batter to the pan and cook each pancake for two minutes on one side.

Once the mixture has begun to solidify, and the bottom side starts to change to a golden colour, flip the pancake and cook for an additional minute.

Repeat with the remaining batter
For the toppings, spread the peanut butter on top of your warm pancake and decorate with your chopped fruits.

Alternatively, you can warm some peanut butter up in the microwave for a few seconds and drizzle it over your pancakes before topping them with your diced fruit.

Meet Peaches! 🐶 This little lady came in needing a serious makeover, and wow, what a difference!

She was such a dream on the table, especially for her first time.

We tackled those knots and gave her a lovely trim short trim to remove all the knots and matting. Thankfully I was able to keep her head a little longer and was able to achieve a little short Yorkshire terrier style face.

I'm so proud of how well she did! We're already planned her next visit to start growing out that fan tail and take care for a little bit more style as a hair grows back.

I love seeing these transformations, and Peaches just made my day! (And yes, my conditioner is magic! ✨)

Oh my dogness, look at this beauty!

Meet Nuala, the gorgeous German Shepherd who visited us for a bath and de-shed.

Her coat was so soft and silky after her groom, we were in cuddle heaven! 🥰

We adore German Shepherds here at Claires dog grooming Salon and can't wait for Nuala's next visit. ❤️
