Update: potential home found 😁
This little lady is looking for her forever home via the RSPCA. She is currently being looked after at our Longwater branch, where she was originally taken into with her kittens. The last of her kittens have now been homes and sadly, as is often the case, mummy cat is now the last one left to find a home. Here at Companion Care we love black cats, and several of our staff own them, however many rescues often find they are the hardest colour to rehome. Finding homes for adult cats is always harder than kittens however they still have ad much love to give, still love playing and exploring and can still integrate with other cats. They may also already be litter tray trained.
If you think you could give this beauty a hone please contact the RSPCA mid Norfolk branch and mention this post and that she is currently residing at our Longwater branch. She has already been vaccinated, chipped and neutered.
This gorgeous boy is Oscar. Oscar is one of several RSPCA cats currently being looked after at our Longwater branch.
Oscar is a very affectionate and playful boy who was found as a stray. The RSPCA are looking for a five star home for him where the new owner will keep his vaccinations up to date and provide him with all the play and affection he requires! He has been microchipped, vaccinated and neutered.
If you are interested in rehoming Oscar please contact the RSPCA mid Norfolk branch directly( NOT LONGWATER ), stating that you are interested in Oscar, one of the cats at Companion Care Longwater.
Please note Rspca will carry out home checks for any rehoming and a donation fee will apply.
Our Long water branch is currently looking after a number of cats and kittens for the RSPCA, who are full to bursting point.
The RSPCA and other animal charities work tirelessly to try to educate owners on the importance of neutering their cats to prevent unwanted litters. Unfortuanetly, every year they still have to deal with an influx of pregnant cats and young kittens, many of whom are not microchipped, and owners can never be traced.
All of our 3 Norwich Companion Care branches support early neutering of kittens, from 16 weeks old, to try to prevent unwanted litters and the strain that pregnancy takes on young cats, many of whom are still only kittens themselves.
We also accept RSPCA as well as Cats protection neutering vouchers.
If you would like to book your kitten in for neutering please contact your local Norwich Companion Care branch.

Sometimes our own pets do cooperate !
Here is Stitch, a rabbit belonging to Emma a vet nurse at our Hall Road branch, being a very good boy and taking his pain relief and anti inflammatory medication following his castrate operation. So sweet!
All of our bunny neuters go home with pain relief and anti inflammatory medication, as well as coming back to see the nurse to check their wounds 2 days later and 10 days later.
One of our staff's bunnies eagerly tucking into their hay following an operation. The rabbit welfare association recommends rabbits should have access to at least their bodyweight in fresh hay per day.
If you are squeamish or don't like creepy crawlies look away now!
These ticks were removed from a hedgehog yesterday. Here you can easily see all of their mouth parts which they use to firmly attach themselves to animals and then feed on their blood!
These ones had obviously been feeding on the hedgehog for some time as they were fairly large. After a short anaesthetic the hedgehog recovered well and has gone home with his finder, to be re released shortly.
UPDATE HOME FOUND !!!
Our 3 legged cuddly boy is still looking for a first class home where he can be spoilt with lots of cuddles. We are looking for a quiet home with no other cats or dogs and no young children. Please see our previous post for more details on his condition

Can you help us find a long term foster home or forever home for this little chap he was with the Longwater team, then moved into the cattery at the local RSPCA he gets very down in kennels and gets a bad tummy. So ideally we are looking for a foster home for this handsome loving chap we named him chatty cat. If you are interested please contact us on our messages.
Molly the little kitten who was without the use of her back legs but tlc, time and physiotherapy got her where she is now, she had a little stay with her friend Monkey on the chair, Angela and Shaun and we can't believe poor Monkey is still waiting for his forever home.
We thought we would give you an update on Mollie who was brought in unable to use her back legs. She had a couple of weeks with one of our nurses and had a week with Auntie Angela whilst our nurse Julie was away as you can see Mollie is doing very well.
This little girl was brought in just over 2 weeks ago and no one expected her to make the night about 5 weeks old, and no use of back legs a lot of tlc and pain relief and watching our nurses other cats and in the last 48 hours we have got a lot of improvement her tail always moved so we felt as she was happy eating and pulling herself about at light speed she deserved a bit of time.
