A huge congratulations to 6 of our puppies who all completed their Kennel Club Puppy Foundation Scheme on Thursday evening! The first group through of 2021!
As these guys have all completed and moved on to our next class we have a few spaces in our puppy class at the moment!

Second Day at All About Dogs Show saw another 14 dogs and handlers pass their Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bronze award! 60 dogs in total tested across both days 🐶🐶 Special shout out to the 10:30am group who ALL passed!!

Fantastic first day at All About Dogs Show a huge well done to all the dogs and handlers who passed their Bronze KC GCDS test with us today! 30 handlers and dogs tested in total and we’re back to do the same tomorrow 🐶

Did you now that you and your dog can take part in the Kennel Club's official Good Citizen Dog Scheme at the All About Dogs Show Norfolk?

Skeyton K9 Dog Training will be running the Bronze Test at the show on Sunday 29th and Monday 30th August, which involves a series of simple exercises to test good control of your dog together with responsible ownership.

Thankyou to everyone who attended the Tunstead Fun Dog Show, we were really lucky with the weather and it was very well attended. Skeyton K9 Dog Training hosted 3 classes in the side ring and the results are as follows.
Temptation Alley; 1st Carolyn with Josh and 2nd Nemo with Harley.
Fastest re-call; 1st Nemo with Harley and 2nd Laura with Ada.
Obstacle course; 1st Laura with Ada and Sue with Ella.
The times were really tight and some of the entries in the obstacle race did get super competitive towards the end (Laura & Sue) which always adds to the fun.
Well done everyone and thanks to all involved.

For some dogs sitting and focusing on something is easy and for others it takes them a little bit longer to figure it out. Bear finds classes very exciting with all the other dogs around (and his sister in the class too!) so for him to turn, focus and sit was a huge achievement for his second class! So proud of this pair and can’t wait to see their progress over the next few weeks 🐶🥰

15 months since our Silver / Gold dogs and owners were last together and you wouldn’t think they’d had a break at all! All working perfectly around each other again on Thursday evening, we couldn’t be prouder 🥰

✨ 2 weeks to go!!! ✨

We’ve been down to set up the outdoor ring for the first time today and of course we had to test it out. Here’s Clem showing that it might have been over a year since we were last here but she’s still got it with a perfect little recall 🐶

Okay everyone here we go, we've decided that despite the news of the 4 week extension to the current restrictions announced on Monday we will be re-opening as planned on Thursday July 1st however, we've had to put in some revisions. All classes will be held outside on the grass car park in a roped off ring using barrier fencing regardless of the weather (excluding thunderstorms). We've had a good response to the invitation to join SK9DT and Paul will be contacting everyone who's on the new list by 'phone to go through the new protocols. It's important that everyone understands and accepts that we cannot under any circumstances allow someone to "join on the day", they must have applied to join and been accepted in advance due to our new Covid application protocol. We appreciate that this may seem a bit "over the top" but unfortunately that's the way it has to be for the time being. The Village Hall will be open for the use of toilets only, the main hall, bar area and kitchen will all be "off limits" for the time being but we hope to be back in the Hall once we get to the end of the 4 week extension. As always, we appreciate and look forward to your (hopefully positive) feed back comments. We still have some spaces in the younger puppy (up to 6 months) Class but most of the other Classes are either full or close to full because of the social distancing rules. We look forward to seeing you soon but please don't forget, you must apply to get on the list. Stay safe.

3 weeks until we hopefully 🤞 get to open our doors again so we’re going to throw it back to January 2020 with cross over recalls! 9 dogs of varying sizes, ages and breeds all working perfectly around each other 🥰

We're Back!
Skeyton K9 Dog Training are pleased to announce that training classes are returning and we have spaces for new dogs and owners to join us!

After having to close our doors in March 2020 due to the pandemic we are pleased to say that we plan to reopen on Thursday 1st July 2021 subject to further restrictions being eased on the 21st June.

Skeyton K9 Dog Training is a Kennel Club of Great Britain “Listed Status” Club, actively promoting The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme, the largest scheme of its kind in the UK.

We cater for any breed of dog of any age from puppies through to more mature dogs and you don’t have to be an experienced owner/handler to join us as we’ll tailor the training to suit you.

Our “Reward Based Training” style will help you get the very best from your canine companion in a fun, rewarding and sociable environment.

Class times will remain the same -

The “Puppy Foundation” Class 6:00pm - 6:30pm
(for puppies up to 6 months old)

The “Junior” Class 6:30pm - 7:00pm
(For dogs aged 6 - 12 months old)

The “Bronze Level” Class 7:00pm - 7:45pm
(for the less experienced owner/handler)

The “Silver & Gold” Class 7:45pm - 8:30pm
(for the more experienced owner/handler)

Obedience Class 8:30pm - 9:10pm
