🚨😍 RUBY 😍🚨
Ruby is a lovely little female ferret who has been with us since 2021. She is around four years old, well handled and affectionate. She did have a friend until recently, they would play and snuggle up together, where there was one the other was sure to not be far behind. Sadly her friend passed away and she now finds herself alone and needing company. Following unsuccessful attempts to bond her with another solo ferret here at the sanctuary we are urgently seeking a home for Ruby. The ideal home would be one where she can slowly be introduced to existing ferrets, however we would also consider ferret free homes depending on the individual circumstances and amount of time that could be dedicated to her.
If you think that you can offer Ruby the perfect home or for more information please email [email protected]’
🚨😍POLLY😍🚨
Our sweet girl, Polly is still seeking her forever home.
Polly came into our care having been operated on in an emergency situation for the life-threatening condition of pyometra.
As Polly recovered from her surgery it became evident that she was not cut out for kennel life. She showed several symptoms of stress and separation anxiety. She therefore went into foster care with a member of sanctuary staff.
Since being in foster we have had the opportunity to see more of her amazing personality. Polly can be a little anxious when meeting new people (males in particular) so introductions need to be done slowly and gradually. Once Polly is familiar and comfortable around you she adores affection, fuss and cuddles.
Polly loves being outdoors so would prefer a home with access to a secure garden with boundaries of 6ft in height. She is always keen for her walks and any opportunity to sniff out new environments. She does however have quite a strong prey drive so at times can be strong on a lead, especially if she spots a bird or rabbit!!
Her forever home will need to be a calm and quiet environment with any children in the household aged 14 years and upwards. Due to Polly's separation anxiety, her new owner will initially need to be at home the majority of time and then be prepared to introduce leaving hours slowly and gradually build them up.
In the home Polly has proven to be non destructive, house trained, travels comfortably in the car and very food orientated!!
If you feel you can offer Polly what she is so desperately seeking, please complete our adoption form on our website

🐰🌿 Rabbit Awareness Week Day One: The Perfect Diet for Your Bunny! 🌿🐰

We struggle to understand why our 2 sighthounds, Babet & Bolt are still seeking their forever home. 💔
Both dogs came into our care, on separate occasions as unclaimed strays through the dog warden, we therefore have no previous information about either dog, only how we have found them to be since being in our care.
.Babet and Bolt's idea of their "perfect forever home" are very similar. They would like access to a private, secure garden with boundaries of 6ft in height where they can perfect their "zoomies"!
Although Babet and Bolt are playmates here at the sanctuary, we are not necessarily looking to rehome them together. Each of them would compliment an existing well matched sighthound, pending successful meets at the sanctuary. Likewise, they would happily soak up the attention of being the only dog in the home.
Both dogs show typical sighthound prey drive. As with all sighthounds, we would recommend Babet & Bolt wore a muzzle to protect other animals when out and about on a walk and that off lead exercise would not be advised unless in a dog friendly, enclosed paddock.
Prey drive aside, both Babet and Bolt walk well on a lead, are non reactive towards other dogs they see during exercise so would happily enjoy social lead walks with doggy pals
Neither Babet or Bolt are known for being destructive. They both adore being around people and are keen to greet everyone with a waggy tail. Whilst they love to interact and play with their carers, they will equally happily snuggle up and snooze the hours away.

Collared dove release! 🕊️
We’ve had another successful release today! These 4 collared doves named Dave, Chaz, Donny and Margaret came in as babies needing regular hand-feeding and monitoring. After weeks of care, they’re finally able to be released! It’s lovely to see such beautiful animals getting a second chance. #wildlife #collareddove #dove
❤️... SULLY...❤️
Could you offer an end of life home to our wonderful 8 year old ferret, Sully? 🙏
Sully has recently come back into our care through no fault of his own and as he is now in his twilight years, we would love for him to have a final loving home where he can be spoilt rotten. 😃
Sully is a well socialised and friendly boy who still likes to play, but is mostly content with exploring his environment and finding a cosy place to curl up and sleep. 💤
We can provide puzzle toys to help keep him mentally stimulated now that he isn't as physically active. 🧩
We are ideally looking for a home where he won't have to interact with other ferrets if he doesn't want to as he has been quite selective about his friends in the past and we want to prevent any unnecessary stress at his advanced age. 🏡
We are looking for someone who can provide Sully with a safe space for him to potter about, a cosy bed, toys and cuddles 🥰
Previous ferret experience isn't necessarily required as we will be on hand to provide all the guidance and advice needed and his food and medical care will be covered by PACT 🏥
For more information about Sully or to express an interest in fostering him please email us at [email protected] , providing some details about yourself, the home you can offer and your contact details. ℹ️
Tawny owl release 🦉 🦉
We had this beautiful tawny owl brought into us after it had been involved in a suspected road traffic collision. It had sustained head trauma and swelling to its eye. After a short course of anti inflammatories and a bit of tlc from our veterinary and wildlife staff we were able to re-release it close to where it was found. One of our volunteers was able to film this release in slow motion for us.
Meet our lovely Sharpei, Leila.
Leila came to us having suffered incomprehensible pain and discomfort her entire life as a result of how she was bred. Excessive skin rolls and severe entropion (turned in eyelids) meant she had course hair grating the surface of her eyes causing severe ulcers. Sadly, one of her eyes had ruptured weeks to months prior to her coming into our care and had gone untreated.
Our vet team performed a series of surgeries to correct her issues. This included removing the ruptured eye followed by a series of "face lifts" and eyelid reconstruction. She was such a great patient and the difference in her is remarkable.
When she arrived she was in agony, shut down and couldn't interact with us. Once free of her painful condition we began to see her wonderful, playful personality shine through. She is always so happy to see us.
We don't believe she has much sight in her remaining eye due to the amount of scarring but she doesn't allow this to affect her joy.
Keep an eye out for this wonderful girl coming up for rehoming very soon!
Thanks to our wonderful supporters we are able to continue helping animals like Leila live a full and pain free life with loving families ❤️
Meet Peggy, our 6 month old pug mix.

Heron rescue. When Jon and Sally spotted a heron in a precarious position no thanks to some fishing line they jumped into action. They managed to release the bird and brought him straight to the local vets. From there he came to PACT where he continued treatment and rehabilitation.
Jon and Sally accompanied our nurse Janet to the area where he was found to witness this marvelous release back into the wild. Team work really does make the dream work!
(Photos of the poor heron when he was found and the offending line)
We love a successful release. This buzzard was brought in a couple of weeks ago as it was found hanging upside down in the crevice of a tree. After some rest, recuperation and feeding up one of our vet nurses, Janet, was able to re-release it back into the wild. Here is the video of its release
This juvenile swan was brought in to us a couple of weeks ago when a lovely lady found it in a field, not moving. After some pain relief and some recuperation at our wildlife unit it was rereleased by one of our wonderful volunteers, Paul. Here is a lovely video of its re-release.
Our guineapigs know when the treats are coming 🧡 volume up for this one :-)
