Muzzle training with Poppy
“I don’t need muzzle train my dog, he’s really friendly and will never need one”
Although it is completely your choice whether to train this skill or not, I always vote to train it because I’d rather my dog accept a muzzle and accept or choose to put it on themselves rather than if they’re in heaps of pain and fighting it at the already stressful vets office.
Here is Poppy the beagle learning to put her nose in and accept the muzzle.
Ozzy shows us Tucker
While getting ready for a children’s class tomorrow Ozzy kept offering a behaviour, so I marked and rewarded it and built it up to become this… Ozzy now shows us who Tucker is!
Patches learnt to high five
This weekend I’ve been cat sitting for my friends, so it seemed a good time to work on my training portfolio 😜
Loose leash wirh Alfie
Some loose leash work with Mr Alfie today. He did such a good job and had a beautifully wagging tail the entire time!
Ozzy tries the sandpit
Here’s Ozzy in the sandpit I built. Ozzy had a few OCD like tendencies to help him cope with over stimulation that I’ve been helping with for the past few years since I adopted him.
Our biggest trigger is in the garden where he would truly to chase my quail and dig at my lawn. I’ve just had the lawn redone so I didn’t want him digging, and I wanted to give him something to do to take his mind off my quail… so I built a sandpit for him.
Here he is trying it for the first time, not even bothering about the other dogs barking or the quail running up and down their pen!
Ozzy had behaviours I didn’t like but that he relied on, so I gave him an outlet for them to help us live in harmony ❤️
Coco drop and leave it
Coco HATES dropping anything she has - especially when you want it! - so we worked on that one extra hard today. Then she got a tissue out the bin and we had to put what we learnt into practise! She did so well! Jasmin

Remember to eat your greens, kids!
Ozzy is getting ready to film some assessments for VSA with me!
