Simple & spooky dog-friendly biscuits:
🎃 2 cups flour
🎃 1 cup canned pumpkin
🎃 1/2 cup peanut butter
☠️ Preheat your oven to 190°C
☠️ Mix the pumpkin, flour & peanut butter in a bowl
☠️ Combine to make a dough
☠️ Roll out the dough onto a floured surface
☠️ Cut the dough into shapes with your Halloween-themed cutters
☠️ Place the treats equally spaced on an ungreased sheet
☠️ Bake for 12 minutes
☠️ Allow them to cool completely before feeding them to your dog

Most dogs aren't keen on getting their teeth brushed 🪥
But it's important to prevent plaque building up - which can cause bad breath, gum disease and tooth decay. (Plus some painful and potentially serious infections.)
So, to make it easier:
🐾 Find the right time (when your dog is calm, relaxed and comfortable).
🐾 Start without a brush! Just rub your finger along the gums and teeth, to get them used to the sensation.
🐾 Then, add a tasty meat-flavoured toothpaste to make this more fun.
🐾 Don't stand above your dog or hold them down - try kneeling or sitting to the side.
🐾 If your pup seems stressed, stop and try again later. It takes a lot of time and practice!
🐾 Once they're used to the above, use the toothpaste and toothbrush together.
🐾 Lift the upper lip and angle the bristles so they reach the gum line. Clear away the plaque gently.
🐾 Brush a few teeth at a time, working up to more each day. Aim for two minutes total.
🐾 If your dog is resistant, try starting on the outsides of the canine and back teeth - this is where plaque tends to collect.
🐾 Once you finish, reward them with their favourite treat.
🐾 Always stop when you are both still enjoying yourselves!
Note: slight bleeding every so often is OK, but ongoing/heavy bleeding means you might be brushing too aggressively. It could also be a sign of gum disease; speak to your vet for advice.
