As we wrap up 2024, we leave the year on saving 301 ferrets/polecats this year.
We couldnt do this with out you, so thankyou from the bottom of our hearts...
Alot has changed this year.
We lost a family member, we lost some of our wonderful ferrets but we did gain a whole new team and a bigger property.

The rescue is everything to us here at Marley's and being able to expand was one of our biggest goals.

We also won an award and brought a van. All the space of a year.

Most of all we saved countless of lives and place 232 of them into loving homes with you guys ❤️

You guys are the reason we can keep going and from everyone here, we wish you all a happy new year 🎉🎉🎉

Hi guys. We hope you had a great Christmas, we have a bunch of adoption messages to go through so please be patient.

The rescue owner took a break from admin for a few days so will be catching up with everyone shortly.
Please be patient as there is alot to get through and its been very busy here over Christmas (we have had alot of manual labour to get through while matts been off work)

WARNING DISTRESSING VIDEO!

little Eggnog went for a routine castration yesterday and unfortunately started seizing after the procedure.

Our amazing vets got it all under control but we have a while for recovery. Hes lost the use of his right back leg and is a little wobbly.
HOWEVER, we have seen ferrets recover fully from similar situations so we will be giving Eggnog every chance of a happy life.

He certainly isnt in any pain as he has been trying to run and be chaotic like his normal self.

Please keep Eggnog in your thoughts 🙏

Without you we could not do this. We have had more ferrets in this week, including a big boy who will become a permanent resident with us.
We have quite alot of older ferrets coming in atm. We would love to find some of them retirement homes 🏡

We will also be excepting work experience students under 18 years old from the new year (must be through a college, school, university or duke of Edinburgh). So please get in contact if you need any work experience hours.

We want the UK Government to provide substantial financial support to animal rescue organisations, invest in rehabilitation programmes, and promote public awareness campaigns to alleviate the strain on these vital services.

Update: Unfortunately gracie passed away at the vets. We are devastated 💔

Please keep tiny little gracie in your thoughts. She currently at the vets as an emergency. She had a seizure this morning, and will go in for emergency exploratory surgery if they can get her temperature back up.
It isnt looking great atm but we will update later

Now 64 numbers left we are only running this for another 4 days, we would really like to fill it.
We desperately need more funds with lots more ferrets come in lately and more joining us this week 🙏
All need to see a vet and be neutered. We have 2 implants to do aswell for our older boys 🙏
