So after a battle with insulinoma, we said goodbye to Agnes.

She came to us after been found as a stray and has had a tough battle with insulinoma. We decided today after multiple seizures, it was her time to go.

We always said she would only know love til the end and we will do the kindest thing when she needed it.

Unfortunately she has been really bad today. She spent more time seizuring than being with us.

Shes was on the highest med she could be on and unfortunately her sugars where just not stable.

We are so greatful to of met her and loved her. She stole everyones heart in her short time here.

Here we have panda, agnes and fauna! Permanent residents with us...

A trio that lives inside with us (yes they are eating cat food, however it is only used for this group as agnes has no teeth. They get raw soupies and kibble to).

Panda came to us after all her friends passed and her owner wanted her to have more friends. Panda said no to that and living outside. So we slowly introduced friends over time and she loves her two girls.

Agnes was found straying and the vets thought she may have some kind of contagious disease going on, as she is blind and had diarrhoea. Unfortunately agnes is very old (atleast 8years old) and is blind from old age. She also has cancer (insulinoma). Some days are really bad but most days are good now shes on medication. She will live the rest of her days only knowing love!

Fauna came in as part of a big group from a not so nice situation (we wont go into detail, but you can imagine). Unfortunately she was highly bonded with her sister who sadly passed away not long after coming to us due to tumours.
Fauna like panda and agnes is also a senior at aleast 6 years old.
She Unfortunately wasnt thriving in a big group after her sister passed. However she found comfort in panda.

These are just a few of our 50 permanent residents. Like panda, agnes and fauna they all have a story as to why they cant be rehomed. Whether that be old age, long term health conditions, disabilities, behaviour and so on. We start at 50 before even counting the rest of the 70 on top that will be up for rehome/are!

Thats a total of 130 ferrets to care for. We are working tiredly behind the scenes to care for everyone and fundraise. We have another girl who needs a scan this week due to suspected tumours. We have neutering to cover and we need to do a food run and shavings 🙏

We are still on the search for a shed/childrens playhouse 6ft x 4ft preferably but do have some wiggle room for a little bigger.
Preferably in goodish condition so we dont have to do much repairs.

Preferably already dismantled 🤞

The dumped ferret has been caught. A big thankyou to our neighbours who helped in his capture.

He will never have to fend for himself again. He also has lots ticks on him 😞

Now safe with us in rescue!

We are looking for the poor ferret someone dumped on estate behind us.

They had to drive past us to dump him here. We have found where they dumped him but only had sightings of him so far.

I dont normally judge people but these people are absolute scum bags. To drive past us and dump, instead of knocking on. Disgusting.

We are determined to find him and get him to saftey. Traps have been laid.

He has been out since the weekend we believe (possibly longer but was first sighted sunday and we had a stray on our garden saturday)

Just a add on. We only gound the dump sight today. Hes been spotted in different places on the estate. He was spotted sunday evening but not spotted again until today in a different location. This is where we found his blanket, food and tunnel

For future reference and anyone thinking of dumping a ferret with us, please dont leave it out of a carrier we have chickens and so do our neighbours!
