😻😻😻😻 We are super proud to be offering a Microchip Welfare Event on Saturday 8th June 2024 at the Bakersfield Community Centre

---------

Why are we doing this?
From 10 June 2024, cats over 20 weeks old must be and registered on a compliant database 📆

By microchipping their cats, owners can increase the likelihood that they will be reunited with their beloved pet in the event that they go missing.

---------

We want to support as many people as we can in the local communities and will be partnering up with some fabulous services, all onboard to offer free advice and support.

So please spread the word and let's help get as many of our feline friends microchipped as we can

Honestly I always try and be as kind, helpful diplomatic and as least judgemental as possible. but I’ve got a bit of a bee in my bonnet today about the importance of responsible ownership and neutering your pets.

I understand times are hard and sometimes accidents happen , but honestly if already struggling to take care of your animals. I cannot stress the absolute importance of preventing more. It is YOUR responsibility. No one else’s

If you receive benefits, are on a pension or low income, you can get low-cost, and sometimes even free neutering. This can be in the form of neutering vouchers or at subsidised neutering clinics in Nottingham. From just having a quick google.
You can get help from pdsa, RSPCA in the form of money off vouchers and at certain participating vets £10 vouchers from them working with certain animal welfare charities . There isn’t really any excuse for not seeing what’s out there help wise.

So today at petfull foodbank HQ, we have sadly had a very difficult and upsetting situation on our hands. Someone out there knows what this is. All I will say is it has been handled/made right with as much care and love as we could muster.
Following on from this, I feel I need to put a bit of a msg out there.
We know how hard it is right now. We know sometimes things happen which are out of our control. We know sometimes a bit more than a bit of food is needed in terms of help to provide care for your animals. Please reach out!!!!!!
If I can't help you in person.
I will point you in the direction of someone/somewhere that can. Desperation can lead to desperate decisions when actually there may have been another way.

Pictures of our very own fur crew of CEOs. For both to grab your attention and to say thanks for taking the time to read below. ❤️

About us… we are a tiny team of two people. based in Nottingham.

We run this petfood bank entirely voluntary and rely on Kind donations from patrons and supporters to be able to provide this service.

We started off working with local foodbanks
However the last 3 months we've evolved into more than that providing SOS packages of enough pet food per household we are contacted by, for one to two pets.

We have found ourselves working through ever growing lists of requests to get these out to those in need.
We are even having people contact us following being recommended our service by citizens advice, alongside having medical professionals reach out to us asking if they are able to make referals to our service.

This is wonderful as it means the word about Petfull Foodbank is getting out there. We are in turn helping more Pets and their humans.

However this is also bringing a LOT more traffic to our inbox.
This means we need YOUR help and petfood donations right now more than ever!

The good news!!!!
Thanks to a very Generous cash donation from one of our amazing supporters Nina katz, alongside our lovely patreons Sally, Amanda, Katie and jodies monthly contributions and amazon wish list, and food donations kindly received from Liana and Nicki
In the last 20 days alone we have been able to provide SOS packages of wet and dry food For
6 dogs ( big and small breeds )
10 cats
1 parrot
1 hedgehog
2 guinea pigs and a rabbit.
With more service users collecting for 2 dogs and 4 more cats over the weekend. With a wait list now building again.

The point of all this info. Our little team of two needs your help. so we can keep providing this much needed service.

If you have any spare sealed petfood of any kind that your pets will no longer eat, please consider letting us take it off your hands.
Likewise if you are able to spare a few pounds and want to Convert that into petfood please visit our amazon wishlist. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=126705150312358&id=100089186215577

Or if you are able to perhaps spare a few pounds each month for an incredible cause and much needed service, please consider becoming a patreon. link below.

Whilst the majority of people we talk to and meet are beyond lovely, Just wanted to put a polite reminder out there that this is a voluntary run service. A lot of unpaid work and time goes into the sourcing, collecting and distribution of petfood donations.
Please be kind. We know it can feel frustrating but If asked for paitence, please give it. If I am unable to answer a message straight away, i will get back to you as soon as i can. Be curtious of the time. If a msg is sent during the late hours of an evening/weekend. It will be the next day I reply. Finally if we have been able to put a pet food parcel together for you. Please turn up on time to collect it.
Kind regards Petfull foodbank 🐾

My wonderful husband dropped off our Christmas foodbank donation yesterday just in time to help out old santa paws 🐾🎄.
As well as receiving enough wonderful donations to make this possible, we have also been able to provide 50 emergency sos relief packs over the last 3 months. With the last ones allocated being collected this weekend.
I can't thank our wonderful patrons and all who have donated throughout the last 8 months enough. You really have helped make a massive difference in keeping furry family members full, alongside helping to take pressure off a little to those that need it the most during these trying times ❤️ merry Christmas to you all.

Sorry its been a bit quiet post wise

I'm currently working two jobs, alongside carrying out behind the scenes work for petfull foodbank so all has been a bit busy.

Since my last posts,
Pet full food bank has issued 20 emergency sos petfood care packs to people in our local community and other areas around the city. (Each one of these packs has provided food for one to two cats or one dog for one week.)

We've provided info on how to get referrals, food banks based in specific areas, both those needing a referral, alongside community cafes all can visit in local areas too. We've found and sent on info with phone numbers to call for help with food bank referrals, alongside mental health and wellbeing care links aswell. Ive found myself making new friends and being a listening ear along the way too.

To keep up this much needed service, I find myself here looking for your guys' help again.
Sooooooooo If you have any unwanted/unused pet food in your cupboards, please think about donating them. We would love to take them off your hands. Likewise please if you can afford a one off donation check out our amazon wishlist Link found at the top of our petfull-petfoodbank fb page. All donations recieved are put to great use to help feed pets in the community when their humans need a helping hand.

Special thanks as always to our patrons and all who have donated to our cause so far. You truly are helping make a difference ❤️🐾

Many thanks Bonnie

Not quite the post I planned on writing this morning. However my phone has been so busy since yesterday's post.
All of petfull petfoodbank care packages have currently been allocated.

If anything this has just reminded me how much of a need there is for this service. Instead of waiting until next month. I will be ordering more supplies for these out of monetry donations recieved over the weekend and will work towards getting some more care packages put together as soon as possible.

Off the back of messages received over the last few days. I just wanted to put out there that any message asking for help I receive are 100% confidential. Also please don't ever feel bad in any way asking for help. Believe me it takes a brave person to do so. ❤️ if I can't help straight away. I do come armed with advice on other help available.
Lastly no thanks is ever needed. I would like to think if I was ever struggling the kindness of others would help me.

As always if anyone has any surplus pet food your pet will no longer eat or you don't need. Please send us a msg we would love to take it off your hands. Please also check out our amazon wishlist if you can or consider becoming a patreon. Link to both can be found at the top of our fb page.

Many thanks Bonnie @ Petfull-petfoodbank

With thanks to our wonderful patrons, Sally, Amanda, Katie and Jodie for their continuous support and two beyond generous monetry donations recieved from Vicki and Nina katz. Alongside a wonderful donation from our amazon wish list from Amanda j Clarke.

I have been a busy little bee and have been able to put a plan into action to help us out at petfull foodbank for the next few months.. this includes a bulk buy of lots of cat and doggo foods.
The first part of it has arrived today with a good bit more to follow so I'm feeling really positive.

So this month Alongside our usual donation to our local food bank.
As a trial run, I will be able to put together a limited amount of small emergency carepacks. Once they are gone they will be gone! until the following month, but I feel this is a good way to be able to start helping people more on an individual bases.

These will contain one box of either dog or cat biscuits depending on your animal in need and a few pouches of wet food as a ONE OFF care package to help keep pets going e.g, There will be enough to help one pet for one week.
These will come alongside info on how to get referral to a foodbank, so service users can go on to get further help.

These will be ready by the end of the week and on a first come first served basis.
Keep an eye out for the post. 🐾❤️

As always if anyone has any spare petfood they need taking off their hands please send us a message. Or if you are able please check out our amazon wishlist found at the top of our page, or consider becoming a patreon. link also found at the top of our fb page. The more donations recieved the more pets in need we are able to help 🐾🐾❤️

We need YOUR help.

Hey lovely people, We are having more and more people reach out to us all the time for support but we are sadly finding ourselves in a position unable to help. This is due to several reasons. The main one being not enough pet food donations recieved to redistribute.

At the min thanks to our amazing patrons Katie, Sally, Amanda and Jodies monthly donations and me adding a little myself, we are able to pull together around £35-£40 every 8 weeks. I am then purchasing as many various pet foods as i can out of this money and taking petfood straight to our local foodbank which is wonderful, but I want to be able to do more.
I wish I was able to respond and react and give a care package to each individual plucking up the courage to reach out, instead of having to refere onwards . I want to eventually get to a point where petfull petfoodbank really Is making a difference and can support on a more individual bases. Moving forward im going to try and dedicate more time to reaching towards this goal.

This is where you come in too. Can you help make a difference? Do you have any spare animal food that you no longer need? Your animals will no longer eat?
If so Please consider donating to our cause. Get in touch. We can take any sealed packets, sachets, tins or boxes. All donations recieved will go out into our local communities currently via foodbank, with the hope and aim to then be able to help with individual cases in the very near future too.

Alternatively please checkout the link to our amazon wishlist found at the top of this page. Or please consider becoming a patreon and donate a few pounds a month. The link on how to do this can also be found at the top of our page.

Many thanks for your time.

Apologies its been a while since my last post. Due to a change in personal circumstances it has meant ive not been able to dedicate as much time as I'd like to petfull food bank over the last month.
However thanks to our amazing patrons, Sally, Jodie, Katie and Amanda and some very kind donations , thanks so to much Perri. we have still been working behind the scenes and have delivered into our community this month via foodbank.

2kg drycatfood
4 boxes of lickylick sticks and 4 big packs of Dreamies
5kg dry dog food
12tins wet dog food
1kg small dog biscuits

Though this is nothing on the scale of how we would like to help out. feeling positive we will hopefully still help relieve a little worry to a few people and their pets during these difficult times.

Apologies We are sadly still unable to help on an individual case by case bases.
