Always poignant this time of year around her birthday and in how much she loved Christmas.

She always helped me with my work at Lovejoy’s Walkers.

A kind person who loved our dogs and all animals in general. A dedicated and hard-working nurse, too. Please remember her.

I just wanted to give you an update on how Otto is doing.

Several weeks ago now he was visibly very unwell as I wrote about earlier. Several weeks later he has improved greatly and the main issues that concerned us seem to have calmed down.

He has had two previous scans of his bladder. And tomorrow he will go in for his third one. On the second scan, the mass in his bladder had significantly reduced. We are hoping tomorrow for even better news over that issue.

He has returned very much to his old self, which again is really positive to see. Finally, a huge thank you to the all female staff at Vets 4 Pets at Mapperley for the loving care that they have provided to both Otto directly, and the courtesy and kindness they have shown to ourselves as their customers. They have also handled the administrative side of submitting the insurance claim really quickly. The last thing you want to do when your dog is ill is to have the additional worry about costs not being reimbursed to you when you need them back. He and we really couldn't be in better hands.

I thought I would play you a song and combine it with some canine photos memories of 2024. Happy Christmas and New Year to you all.

I was a police driver and have passed the advanced driving test for driving instructors. Luckily, those two things give me some anticipation about what others are going to do or not do on the road. I carry very important passengers – customers’ dogs. Hence, I need to be aware at all times. Travelling back home today with a customer at the Priory Island Roundabout, I became all too aware what the small car coming out of the Shell petrol station was going to do. Had I not held back and applied the brakes when I did he would’ve gone around me in a straight ahead lane only and I would’ve gone into him. This would also have been some speed with the consequences best not thought about.

15 years doing this wonderful job. The best 15 years work wise of my life. Please join me in looking back at some of the friends I have had over the years as customers in this video. Some of the pictures make me cry because those friends are no longer here anymore. Thank you to all my customers over the years. I hope I haven’t missed anybody out and that you will see your own dog in some of the pictures on the video.

These two wonderful dogs (Fly and Bella) are never far from my thoughts. Such good friends to me. I miss both every day.
