Pesky grass seeds! 🌾
⚠️ ️Grass seed injuries are very common this time of year. Please check your dogs when you return from walks - especially if they have been through long grass! Check in and around their ears, eyes and paws where the seeds can easily become trapped and work their way into the sensitive tissue around them ⚠️
Dogs with fluffy paws and ears such as Spaniels, are more likely to be affected, but it can happen to any breed!
Also take care if they are running through wheat fields or similar, as some seeds can even go up the nose and into the lungs and cause all sorts of problems!

Ps - It's also not just dogs that can be affected! We have even found one in a cats eye before! Ouch! 🐈
Pps. Whilst we are talking about long grass - keep an eye out for ticks! 🤮
