☀️ SUMMER IS MAKING AN APPEARANCE ☀️

With the weather warming up can I please ask you NOT to walk your dogs to their appointments. Walking in these kind of temperatures can cause heatstroke and other temperature illnesses. Grooming them after they have walked in the heat would really be asking a lot of them.

The salon has air conditioning and plenty of fresh water making sure they are comfortable whilst in my care💜

Does your best friend need their teeth cleaning?

4 out of 5 dogs by the age of 3 already have some sort of gum disease but by brushing your dogs teeth this can be prevented.
As humans we brush our teeth at least once a day and the same should be done for our dogs.

Most owners I speak to have said they have tried but their dog won’t let them and I 100% believe this is true. Cleaning your own dogs teeth can be tricky as they know how to play on your heart strings and incorrect handling can make your dog feel uncomfortable.

Hazel is 4 years old and has started to get a build up of plaque and a little staining on her teeth. She had her first session yesterday and we managed to clear all the plaque and most of the staining.

I like to advise all owner to start getting their dog used to having their teeth cleaned from an early age. This will make cleaning teeth much easier for you , groomer and the dog. Lucky for me Hazel loves coming to the salon and being groomed and so me cleaning her teeth was easy peasy🥰

Winston had his glow up yesterday 🐩

He’s only a puppy and with time his groom will improve as he starts to get more comfortable with the process. For his first big boy groom he did amazingly well and I’m very proud of him💜

Orio the little Lhasa Apso has had her eye surgery which was a huge success so to celebrate she’s had a new style. This style will make it easier to look after at home whilst still looking extremely cute🥰

Teddy came in for a teeth cleaning for the first time and he did amazing.
As you can see from the pictures his teeth and gums are very healthy. Having them cleaned and then put on a regular routine will help prevent plaque build up, reduce bacteria and bad breath💜

Bonny my beautiful rescue 💜

It’s important for Bonny to have regular grooming to keep up with her shedding at home so we decide to use the Mud treatment. You can see in the bath that it’s coming out in clumps just from adding the treatment and rubbing it through. Once dried I just brush and brush and it keeps coming it looked like a snow storm🤣 but better in my salon than in your house.
Once all done she looks and feels amazing💜

This was so satisfying getting all this hair from Bobby the Labrador.
Can you imagine all this hair around your house or on your clothes?
Most importantly Bobby will be feeling so much better and more comfortable in the heat now all that dead hair is out💜

The MUD baths are clearly a massive hit💜

Just look at all that hair all that hair that isn’t on your clothes or sofa or maybe your bed.

This MUD bath is not only good for shedding it’s great for hydrating the skin and coat 🐶

💜I just love a Bull dog💜

This big lad came in with extreme hair loss and dry flaky skin so the owner opted for the MUD bath.

The difference between picture 2 and 4 is massive, you can see the loose hair and dry skin in picture 2 and picture 4 is showing how healthy his skin and hair look after just one groom.

You can add a MUD bath to any shedding breed💜

Tilly is half the dog and looking smart after her handstrip this week.

Hand stripping is a grooming technique used for certain breeds with wiry or coarse coats, such as Terriers. The process involves manually pulling out dead hair from the dog's coat using a stripping knife or fingers.

Lola is a labradoodle but sheds just as much as a Labrador!

She gets clipped and deshedded all in one groom as this helps her owner as she is allergic to the undercoat💜

This will help with the excessive shedding and will put back the oils that are needed to keep his coat healthy. You can see before his bath he had dry skin (dandruff) and after his coat looks a million times better already💜

After a thorough dental cleaning, Buddy’s teeth appear remarkably clean and healthy. The teeth are now free from tartar buildup, plaque, and food debris, which can contribute to bad breath and dental diseases. The cleaning process removes any stains or discoloration over time,revealing a bright and pearly white appearance. The gums will also be pink and firm, indicating good oral health. This is Luna the doodle who is booked in every 4 weeks for a groom or a bath and brush to help maintain her beautiful coat. Well Luna is not excited about her mum leaving her and will shake when she first comes in. I wanted to show her mum that she’s only shaking because she doesn’t want her to leave and not because she doesn’t like the process. Here is her falling asleep while I dry her and brush her🤣 the rest of the groom she sits and watches the world go by. Most dogs shake because they anticipate their owners leaving them but once they are out of site they are calm and just get on with the groom and enjoy the attention they get from me💜

That’s me restocked for the year and some new products to try 😆 I love spoiling our dogs 🐩

Beautiful Red (Nottingham Forest fan🤣) had her first teeth cleaning along with her groom. For her first session her teeth look fantastic🦷She will need a couple more sessions that will clear all plaque and then it will just be maintenance cleaning💜

Happy Easter everyone 🐣 The results are in and the winner for the raffle prize is the number 4️⃣0️⃣ It was done the old fashioned way as I couldn’t get the app to work🤣 so got my husband to pick out of a mug. Thank you to everyone that got involved I will let you know the amount that was raised tomorrow once me and dapper dogs put our money together and get the total. All proceeds will be going to ‘drone to home’ to help with the amazing work they do. Congratulations 🥳

Ziggy LOOOOOOOOVES being groomed! She comes in and gives me the biggest hug 🤗 and loves nothing more than being pampered. I ask her to go and get in the bath or get on the table and she’s so happy to do so because she knows she’s going to get fussed.

Bobby is loving his monthly pampering. While He lays back and laps up all the attention I get to work on getting all that loose hair out. See you next month Bobby 🐾
