💔So upset to hear the sad news of my darling, gentle giant `Spike’.💔

Our last walk on Friday was a usual, typical morning walk….. but if I even had an incling it was to be the last time I saw you I would of given you the biggest hug, sloppiest kiss & the tastiest treat I could get my hands on!
Yes, your legs were starting to go, but so suddenly everything just changed 😢
Was so hard to start work today, without you my best boy!
I’m going to miss our morning walks Spikey! A gentle giant, a true gentleman, (unless you were the 2 working cockers or akita who frequented the park & unfortunately you had an instant dislike to & you’d spring into action like you were in a canine battlefield! )
❤️🌈Run free my gorgeous boy over the rainbow bridge, I’m going to miss you so much, till we meet again 🌈❤️

A plea from Mapperley Golf Club after 3 deer have now been killed by dogs!!
Please keep your dogs under control when out walking near the golf course

Mapperley Golf Club is a haven for wildlife which need to be protected. Unfortunately some dogs have been straying onto the course and sadly THREE deer have now been attacked and killed.
There are other deer on the course which are extremely vulnerable.
Please can dog owners keep their animals under control whilst out walking and be vigilant at all times.

If you are an animal lover, wish to volunteer your time and would like to help support women in crisis, then why not consider fostering a pet for our Pet Refuge Service? 🐶🐱

All expenses will be covered by Nottinghamshire Women's Aid, so we only wish that you volunteer your effort in caring for these beloved pets. ☺

You have the option to select the pet you would be willing to care for, whether that is the type of animal, age, breed, size, behaviour etc.... we are willing to work around you and would only put an animal in your care that you are comfortable of looking after.

A list of potential pets include (NO HOOVES OR SCALES):
Dogs
Cats
Guinea Pigs
Hamsters
Rabbits
Rats/Mice
Other small furries
Birds and parrots
Tortoises
Fish
Ducks
Chickens
Ferrets
Squirrels
Hedgehogs

Thorough checks will be completed of yourself and your home and you must be able to drive. Your details will remain completely confidential at all times and regular check of the pets will be made. We have strict acceptance criteria of pets into the service, for the safety of our volunteer foster carers and our members of staff.
