🐶💗🧁✨TODAY WE TURNED EIGHT! ✨🧁💗🐶

Cupcakes, candles, flowers & pups! Can only mean one thing…. Yes it’s our 8th Birthday! ⭐️

On 21st February 2017 we opened our doors to customers for the very first time, well just Helené did, thinking it would be amazing to make it one year, let alone eight! 🤩

As with any small business she was entering the unknown. She had limited tools, a very basic set up & fairly fresh to the grooming world at this stage.

Thankfully customers kept enquiring, booking & bringing their beloved dogs & in no time her diary was full to bursting. Therefore she could now afford to improve the salon gradually with new decor & equipment, & she also took on extra pairs of hands to cope with the demand 😮‍💨

Andy joined in 2018 & 7 years on we very happy to still be super styling your canine companions together, ensuring they look, smell & feel their very best

Running a small business has had its challenges over the years, it is a huge commitment & a lot of work, not only in the salon but also out of business hours behind the scenes, & often sacrifices have to be made. Of course it’s all worth it as we love what we do 💗

Thank you so much to all of you who have been on this wonderful journey with us so far, supporting us & keeping us nice & busy bringing your beautiful furry friends year in & out. We really do have lovely customers & it is a pleasure to provide you with our services & it really is so much more than just a job 🥹

💌 As we approach Valentine’s Day we are spreading the love & giving each customer a Hair Of The Dog Valentine’s bow, treating them to a sumptuous scrub in one of our gorgeous Valentine’s fragrances essential oil shampoos & finished with a beautiful scent of either A’dore or Parma Violet paw-fume ❣️

💌 We will also endeavour to have your furry friend to pose perfectly to create a digital Valentine themed photo ❣️

💌 All of which is complimentary, on the house, spreading the love & thanking you for giving us the pleasure of pampering your prize pooch ❣️

💌 Here we have the beautiful Molly sitting pretty after her groom today ❣️

💌 We have a grooming appointment available tomorrow afternoon at 2:15pm & on Thursday at 1:30pm. We also have a few spaces for bath & nail trims on small to medium dogs❣️

💌 We will continue with this offer in to the early part of next week until we run out of bows, since we do have extra & spreading the love shouldn’t just be for Valentine’s, but all year round 😍

🐾💙 VETS IN THE COMMUNITY 💙🐾

On a lunchtime dog walk yesterday Helené stumbled across a group of Vets from Nottingham Vet School in King Edwards Park, Carlton Road, Sneinton who were offering free health checks, advice & routine treatments for the pets of the homeless & vulnerably housed. ViC work with Framework, The BIG Issue, Emmanuel House & more ..

We are now working with ViC offering free nail clipping & ear cleaning to their patients. As well as grooming advice for the owners. This can be an appointment in the salon or every other week in the park. They also offer the service on the Forest Rec every other Wednesday.

We’ve added a link 🔗 in the comments to ViC page where donations can be made, pet food donations can also be dropped in at the salon. Please also support them by following their page
