For dogs we
-have kennels which have heated inside sleeping areas and individual, covered outside runs
-have a quieter kennel unit available for small or nervous dogs
-exercise dogs twice a day either individually or as part of a supervised mixed social group
-have larger kennels available for family groups

For cats we
-have pens which have heated inside sleeping areas and individual, covered outside runs
-have larger cat pens available for family groups
-provide lots of individual contact throughout the day

Discounts given for animals from the same family sharing and long stays.

A bit about us.....

Choosing the right kennels or cattery for your pet can be a difficult decision. At Naptha Boarding we understand how much your pets mean to you and strive to ensure that their stay is as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.

We believe that there are 4 key ingredients to a successful stay in kennels:

Eating: Maintaining a feeding routine similar to your own is another essential step. In the kennels we feed Arden Garnge dry complete food but we also stock a wide range of branded dog food so that your dog can continue eating food that it is used to. In the cattery we stock a wide range of branded cat food both wet and dry as we know how fussy cats can be!

If your pet has a special diet, we are happy for you to supply their food and will feed as per your instruction.

Relaxation: With music playing throughout the day we create a peaceful, calm environment. In the cattery we find that this means that most of the cats that come to stay with us spend a lot of time sleeping! To help them relax we provide a comfortable bed in the inside sleeping area which is heated in winter and a chair and blanket in the outside run which catches the afternoon sun. With lots going on all day in the kennels, it is important that we give your dog time to relax. Following each exercise session, he will get a couple of hours relaxation in this individual kennel listening to music, enjoying a chew or just sleeping.

If you think it will help your pet settle, we are very happy for you to bring their own bed or blanket.

Human contact: The biggest worry when leaving your cat or dog or small animal is that they will miss you and of course they will but we will be a temporary replacement. With at least 2 dedicated members of staff on duty at a time, your pet will get plenty of individual attention. We all love hands on time for a stroke, a cuddle or a bit of grooming, whatever makes them feel content.

Exercise: For dogs getting out of the kennel is paramount. Whether it’s a gentle walk on a lead, a quiet sniff around or a fast gallop around the field in the company of other dogs we will give your dog whatever suits him best. Socailising with other dogs generally takes the stress out of kennel life. If your dog is social with other dogs, we actively encourage him to exercise with other dogs of similar size and temperament. It’s not for every dog and we will carefully assess each dog to make sure that they are social, are matched with other suitable dogs and are getting benefit from the session. Regardless of the type of exercise, and is it is appropriate, we will exercise your dog for 20 - 30 minutes twice a day, whatever the weather!

If your pet is taking long-term medication or is unwell when he is due to come and stay with us we are still happy to look after him as long as the condition is not contagious. We will administer any medication as required and keep in regular contact if you require updates on his progress
