Fun in the sun
On hot days, it's essential to prioritize your dog's health and safety. Avoid walking them during the hottest parts of the day to prevent heatstroke. Early morning or late evening walks are best.
Always provide plenty of water and find shaded or cool areas for playtime. Have fun in the sun while keeping your pets comfortable and safe. 🐕🐈🐇

Jake needs your help to find a very special home. 💗
At only 18 months, Jake is extremely timid and scared of most things. He needs an experienced owner preferably someone with knowledge of his breed.
Jake needs training in all areas and with time, patience and understanding, we are certain Jake will flourish.
He's complexed but so adorably loving once he feels settled and we are determined to find his perfect place to call home. 💗
For more information on Jake, please go to: https://rspca-radcliffe.org.uk/animal/jake/

For Pet Dental Health Month this week we focus on rabbits. 🐇🐇🐇
It is very common for rabbits to develop a lack of appetite, slowing down of their guts and lack of faeces production. 🐇🐇🐇
This may be a sign of dental disease amongst other problems so their teeth should always be checked. 🐇🐇🐇

It is always extremely sad to receive news that one of our previously adopted animals has “crossed over the rainbow bridge”. 😢
Cody, a Staffie cross Labrador was one of our most memorable success stories, adopted by Helen back in 2013.
Cody settled quickly into his new life and helped to change the life of Helen’s son Matt in a very special way. Matt is now a young man, but the bond between them stayed strong and the family wanted us to know.
“Cody was the best dog we’ve ever had - playful, gentle, fun, loyal and friendly. He loved life and if he was in any pain, we would have never known. The morning we found out he had cancer and made the sad decision to put him to sleep, he ate his breakfast, played with the other dogs and pottered around the garden, then lay down to sleep, what a way to go - happy to the end. Thank you so much for letting us be Cody’s family. We had 10 very happy years with Cody and I don’t think we could ever have had a better dog."
Our video below reminds us all just how special Cody was to Helen and her family. ❤️ RIP LITTLE MAN ❤️
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE… 🎉

Bambi & Buck 🐇❤🐇
It might be raining outside but Bambi & Buck are warm, dry, and enjoying life. 🐇❤🐇
We take pride ensuring our rabbits here at the centre have an enjoyable experience while in our care and have had continued success with not only rehoming rabbits but helping new owners understand the type of accommodation and environment a rabbit need’s.
They are inquisitive, playful, and very intelligent animals. They can live in your home or outside, providing they have plenty of space to display their natural behaviour. Rabbits can be taught tricks and are clean animals, who are easily litter trained.
Rabbits require companionship from other rabbits but also need human attention. They can become a big part of the family and are best suited to teenagers and adults, young children should always have parental supervision.
Like all pets, rabbits’ benefit from toys, mental stimulation, and physical exercise. A wild rabbit that roams free will run as much as three miles each day and domesticated rabbits have similar energy levels. They might be small, but rabbits also have a comparatively large brain and if they are not provided with sufficient entertainment rabbits will quickly grow bored. Getting creative with toys for your rabbits can extend their life and prevent destruction and depression. 🐇❤🐇
