🙌🏼 It’s half term 🙌🏼

As any of you that have school age children will know that it’s always a countdown to half term 🤭

Now that I’m that parent again we will be taking most half terms off as our holidays.
We will be working tomorrow but we are then off until Monday 4th November 👍🏼

I will be periodically checking the phone for the messages so feel free to contact me by text, or leave a voicemail but we will be taking the week to spend at home having a well deserved rest before the Christmas rush 🎄

🪥🦷EMMI PET TEETH CLEANING 🦷🪥
This is not to be confused with any sort of veterinary dental 🦷
The Emmi pet ultrasonic tooth brush (NOT ultrasonic scaler) Is just a gentle way of keeping your dogs teeth clean and gums healthy.
Healthy gums are so important as the gum line is the gateway for bacteria to get underneath and cause infection which can then affect the root and even the jaw. If we can keep the gums healthy and a nice seal on the tooth that’s one step closer to a much healthier mouth 😀
Tatar build up on the teeth can also cause there to be a breech at the gum line, If the teeth are cleaned from early on then this can also be prevented.
Prevention is better than cure ALWAYS 👍🏼

Unpopular Opinion: Not All Dogs Need Frequent Baths 🧼🐾

As a professional dog groomer, I often hear that dogs should be bathed frequently to stay clean and healthy. But here's my take: not every dog needs a bath as often as you might think! While it can be tempting to keep your dog smelling fresh all the time, over-bathing can strip their coat of essential oils, causing dry skin, irritation and also matting if not dried and brushed correctly.

Instead, it's important to tailor your dog's grooming schedule to their specific coat type, skin condition, and lifestyle. For instance, a short-coated dog that doesn’t roll in the mud every day may only need a bath every 6-8 weeks, whereas double-coated breeds, such as Golden Retrievers or Huskies, benefit more from regular brushing than constant bathing. Brushing helps to remove loose fur and prevent matting, keeping their coat healthy and skin well-ventilated. While they still need baths, overdoing it can dry out their skin, so it’s best to tailor their grooming schedule based on their activity level, coat condition, and skin health.
