Well what can I say. The day we all dread has come.
Paxton is leaving us to go to 'big school' in Leamington.
This boy has been amazing to have this last year. He's been funny, calm, loving, cuddly, brilliant with his training and an absolute joy to have in our house .
He's shown his gentle fun nature with the boarders we have had over the last year and has been such a positive role model to our new puppy.
He has already made me so proud of the dog he has grown up to be and I know he will work, try his hardest and embrace the training and life he will go on to have.
He has also been loved by so many people near to us.
Go on and be an amazing life changer Paxton.
We love you so much 💖🐾🐾xx

The two pups were so funny ganging up to play with Paxton and he was so gentle with them xx

He is leaving to go into training in Leamington on Wednesday.

It was a year ago that we got a little 8 week old bundle of fur called Paxton and now he is getting ready to leave us for 'big school'.
He has been such a joy having this calm, loving, gentle giant boy in our house.
I only wish the very best for him as he goes onto his new adventures as a Guide Dog puppy in training xx

Visit from family today. David and Paxton loved it and played with the new toys.

Exciting times in the New Year as I'm sure a lot of you know I am going into Guide Dog training in Leamington.

Paxton's new trainer has been to visit him and he was an absolute star.
He did get excited and jumped up but soon calmed and sat and let her fuss him without jumping up.
He showed her some excellent loose lead walking and recall off the lead. She was pleased with his 'checking in' while off lead and his responses to 'come', the whistle and 'leave' cues.
I couldn't be more proud of him of our gorgeous boy.
We're taking him into training on the 17th January xx

I was honoured to be chosen with two others volunteers to be on the Q & A panel at Guide Dogs Festive thank you event.
It was so good to tell people about my volunteering journey with Guide Dogs and share my success with Hugo, Paxton and hopefully new puppy David xx

Paxton's 12th puppy class was brilliant. We had fun playing 'musical spots' and he loved seeing the other dogs and doing his 'jumping into car/van boot training. He relaxed at the end with a snuffly, destruction box xx
