Did you know 10 minutes intense sniffing is equal to one hours walk?
Sniff training is a great way to provide enrichment for your dog. By working on identification, shaping and perfecting the indication, you will be able to recognise when your dog has found the hide, even when it is strategically placed!

Fear in dogs is a common and natural response to perceived threats or unfamiliar situations. It can manifest in various ways, such as trembling, hiding, excessive barking, or even aggression. Dogs may develop fears due to past negative experiences, lack of socialization, or genetic predisposition. Common triggers include loud noises, strangers, other animals, or unfamiliar environments. Recognizing and addressing fear in dogs is crucial for their well-being, as chronic fear can lead to stress-related health issues and behavioral problems. Proper training, gradual exposure to fear-inducing stimuli, and positive reinforcement can help dogs overcome their fears and build confidence.

Important Tips for Keeping Your Dog Safe in Hot Weather! 🌞🐾

As temperatures rise, it's crucial to take extra care of our furry friends. Here are some essential tips to help keep your dog safe and comfortable during hot weather:

πŸŒ… Walk Early or Late: Take your dog for walks early in the morning or late in the evening when the sun is not as intense. This helps avoid the hottest part of the day.

πŸ”₯ Skip the Walk: If it’s too hot outside, it's best to skip the walk altogether. Your dog's safety comes first!

❄️ Keep Cool: Make sure your dog has a cool spot to relax. Provide a fan and a shaded, cool area where they can lie down.

🏑 Stay Out of the Sun: Keep your dog out of direct sunlight in the garden. Ensure they have a shaded area to retreat to.

πŸ’§ Hydrate: Always provide plenty of fresh, cool drinking water. Hydration is key to keeping your dog healthy in the heat.

🚿 Cool Down: Wet your dog's paws and chest to help them cool off. This can be very refreshing for them.

🏊 Paddling Pool Fun: If your dog enjoys water, let them cool off in a paddling pool. It's a great way for them to beat the heat.

🍦 Frozen Treats: Offer some tasty frozen treats to help them stay cool and enjoy a little snack.

By following these tips, you can help ensure your dog stays safe and comfortable during the hot weather. Stay cool and enjoy the summer with your furry friend! 🐢❀️
